Losing a brother in law is painful, indeed. That he passed while he and his wife were away from Illinois, enjoying warmer weather only serves to compound the tragedy!

Prayers go out to alk of the family. I'm sure Joan in anxious to be able to give Ann support as she lays Pete to rest.

Beautiful poem of comfort and consolation.

I have heard of "DragonPoet" at Fanstory. What a tragedy to have her husband pass away in their vacation. I wonder how old he was and what caused his sudden death.

Thanks a lot for letting us know.

Lisa, I apologize, I have been down with Covid, and I am afraid I worded that l wrong. It was Joan's sister, Ann's husband who died. I was asking for prayers for the whole family. I should have clarified it author's note. I have now, but I did want you to know right away. Thanks so much for understanding. Love, Debi

I'm sorry that you got Covid. I hope your symptoms are not too serious. My brother-in-law just got it, too and he is in Tahiti. Don't worry and take care of yourself, my friend.

This poem, Prayers for Joan, sends all our prayers and concern for Joan during this terrible time of loss. So sad to be in good times with relaxing goals and find the rug pulled out.

Debi, this is a lovely poem, and such a warm and beautiful way of showing Joan how much her FanStory family cares about her. Thank you for taking this on for the rest of your fellow writers. I wish Joan and her family time to grieve, and time to heal.

Your poem, which is heartfelt and beautifully written, says a lot about Joan and how much she's loved and appreciated, but it also says a lot about you. It takes a special person to care the way you do and, even more so, to be able to put those feelings into words. I hope this loving gesture is able to offer Joan some comfort.

Thank you so much, Michelle. Actually I kind of got a little of the info screwed up a little at first so I corrected it now and I think it is on track. Thanks for all the very kind words for Joan and for the poem, as I know she will truly appreciate it too.
    Love and hugs, Debi

It is so hard when one of our fanstory, family has a family member who passes away, especially if it is a husband. It's very hard for the spouse to have to go through this, and I pray that God will be with her that he will comfort her. He will guide her and direct her as she has to move on in life. This is a wonderfully written poem for Joan and I will keep her in my prayers as well. Patricia.

How sad for them to wake up and find Pete had gone on ahead of them to heaven. This is a very sweet poem that I hope will give solace to Joan, her sister, and the rest of the family.

That's a beautiful sediment to the grieving family and poet friend. Yes, dragonpoet has many prayers coming her way as this family is more than me as I am sure of. We weep in the sorrows for you and pray for better tomorrows. Take Care on your journeys back home.

Debbie, this one came out of the blue today, and not complaining cause I love writing. But I was resting when I did this. So I apologize, I have been down with Covid, and I am afraid that either I worded this wrong or everyone is reading it wrong.. so just to be sure I better clarify. It was Joan's sister, Ann's husband who died. I was asking for prayers for the whole family. I should have clarified it author's note. I have now, but I did want you to know right away. Dear Debi, thank you for this beautiful poem and call to prayer for Joan. My heart and prayers go out our dear Joan in the loss of her brother-in-law, Pete. She's such a sweetheart and like you, tells me to be healthy and safe at the end of each review.

Dear Joan, my sincere condolences in the loss of your brother-in-law. All Jack's brothers are like brothers to me, so I understand. My five brothers are gone, and I miss them all so much. I pray that you all know the comfort of the Lord and His peace at this time and the days ahead.

Love to you all.
