I think that God is any country's only hope. America isn't the only country in the world to suffer a lack of faith, or indeed division, loving God more than country, family, friends is the only way, otherwise we are not worthy of Him, beautifully written, blessings Roy

Very strong message in the poem. It is easier to get God on our side if we are on His side. He has some rigid standards that are tempered by His Grace. Well done and good luck. Lincoln was right and so is your poem.

I'm glad you included that quotation. It's so true. If we lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. I think you're right. We need to let God back in again. That's where people get their moral grounding and values. People think it's okay to do as they please, so we see drug abuse, protests, etc. You make a good point. I just hope we survive the election.

quote from Nikita Khrushchev, "we won't have to go to war with the USA, they will implode from within."
I'm praying he was wrong but without God, we are not a capable nation.

This is about my opinion and I tried many to get just the right thing I wanted to express. It was either that or much stronger, There is no possibility of yes to the equation. I am not asking in my poem, I am telling. But thank you for your review.

Ah, that makes sense. I didn't think about the change my suggestion would make to the overall story being told. It is still good work. Rereading it with the wrong stronger, I do like that option.
