Those last moments we shared galloped, like a herd of wild horses, across my mind and trampled my heart. Darn it Carol. You are not supposed to make me cry when I read your stories lol! What a great memory, but a tragic loss! I feel for you Carol and so sorry for your loss. Keep up the great work!

Thanks, Harry. I know he is no longer suffering and is in a better place. We will be together... as long as he doesn't gt thrown out of heaven...LOL He and my son must be quite the twosome inside those pearly gates.

Thank you... I've had more than my share according to me, but they say God doesn't give us more than he thinks we can handle. He has a higher opinion of me than I do. LOL

This piece is so heartfelt! I love how you captured the raw emotions of longing and love. The little moments of humor, like the "alligator" and bar jokes, worked so well. The dialogue felt real. I felt like I was right there with you. This was so moving!

Thanks, Michael. I so appreciate your kind comments and that you enjoyed a small does of the man I loved so much. Laughter was his answer to everything and he left me with a medicine cabinet filled with enough to get me through the rough times.
