The sub title of this poem is interesting as it reflects upon the birth, growth and development of a man, a man who tended to hide and obscure his emotions.

Comment from Patty Mazzurco
Your poem beautifully captures the journey of a man's life, from the excitement of new beginnings to the regret of missed opportunities. The imagery you use, like the "cloak of frost" and the "bird who broke his wing," powerfully conveys a sense of isolation and lost potential.
The final stanza ties everything together nicely, offering a poignant lesson. Perhaps tweaking the phrasing of the advice could make it even more impactful. Overall, it's a thoughtful and moving piece with a strong message.

hi Patty. Can you please tell me what you mean about breaking the phrasing or tweaking the phrasing. I'm assuming you're talking about the last Stanza
Thankful for your wonderful review and your suggestion and your excellent rating

Your poem beautifully shares the journey of life and what truly matters. I like your strong message about the importance of embracing emotions. Your writing is deeply moving, and the advice at the end is so true. Well done!

I can't even imagine how many people your poem would fit...but I know it would be a very sad number. For different reasons, many are afraid to live their life to the fullest and then regret it so much as they age. Like the saying says...people don't say they regret not having enough house, cars, etc. they regret not spending enough time with others. You did an excellent job!
Smiles, Carol
