I almost had the feeling that you were writing about the same person as I read this, which goes to show that people have similar concerns that need our prayers. A kind and generous poem for those you know who need your prayers. I hope that they receive the emotional and physical help they need.

Hi Sweetie, I don't know if I ever told you this, but years ago I had lung cancer and my oncologist and pulmonologist both thought it to be incurable. But after about a year of treatment and the mass in my lung wasn't getting any smaller they tried a new type of treatment to start to shrink it. At the end of a month I had another cat scan and a few days later went to my appt to see how it was going and they took me to his office instead of a room. Both doctors came in and asked us to sit down and said they both had to be there because they weren't sure how to tell us. Glen grabbed my hand and I was so sure it was bad news, but the mass was gone. They didn't know how but it was gone. They said the best they hoped for was for it to shrink some. I told him I wasn't surprised because there were many praying for me in many congregations across the country. My church made sure of that. But the Dr was not a Christian at the time said he was a believer after that. And Also said he would take help from Him any day of the week.
So I pray for many here and I pray for you. You don't say much about pain and illness but when you were traveling and here in MN I used to pray that you were safe where you were and that God would get you home safely when you left. It is what we do when we care for people. Prayer for me isn't just a set time in the morning and at night, but I am alone enough so I pray for others, whether it be physical or mental health issues.
I sure appreciate your kind comments and I hope you know how much you mean to me. Thanks again, my dear sis. Love and hugs! Debi

You did share that story with me, back when we were getting to know each other. That's how I knew how important your faith was to you.
I appreciate the MN prayers. I do know that my nerve pain was less while I was there and I slept through the night for nearly the entire two weeks, which rarely happens these days. Perhaps that was your doing:-)
Everyone here at FS knows how much they mean to you - you care for us all and always try to lift each and every person up.
Keep doin' what you're doin', my friend.
xoxo

There is a lot of emotion in this piece which comes through really well in your writing. It is so hard when there is little we can do to ease a person's suffering, especially when they are someone who we care about. An excellent, well written piece.

Thank you so much for praying, Debi! It's the best we can do. Some news channels are just bent on making people fearful or angry. We need to give it to God and remember our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the evil one who is always trying to destroy relationships! Great message in your poem!!

Gosh, as the biggest prayer person I know, I picked the woman on my art to look most like you. Granted I have only seen one picture of you, and I know you are Asian, so I hope I haven't insulted you at all. I am not thinking they all look alike. But instead that this woman was beautiful, just how I see you.
I don't pick one time of the day to pray. I have my morning and night, but when I am alone and trying to do my work, I pray all thru the day too. Some specific and some like the stanza I wrote for myself about the pain, but it is for all who could see themselves in pain. Mine is uncontrollable right now and the insurance won't even pay for lidocaine patches. Yet they would pay for fentanyl patches. I had both knees replaced two years ago without any opioids or pain medication and the drs all thought I was crazy. But it was because I had been on dangerous amounts of them years ago and it took a long time for me to be cured of them, so I ask them to never give me anymore. So many are telling me what stanza of my poem they fall in.
Thanks sweetie for your kind words, and hope you know what you mean to me. Lotsa love and hugs. Debi

You know, I didn't even see the picture but I'm honored that you thought of me. You're a super prayer warrior and we do the same - praying through the day. I'll keep praying more for your relief. You're amazing to do all that you do with that constant pain, Debi! Love and prayers! It's a busy weekend for me so I'll probably be offline a lot today and tomorrow.

Sometimes when we become overwhelmed by what's happening in our corner of the world, we feel alone and abandoned. as if no one hears us or even cares. It's a beautiful heartwarming thought to know that someone is including us i their prayers and that the Lord is always there, listening, knowing, and answering prayer. Very lovely.

This is a lovely thought when so many have such problems, they need to know they are not alone. In my case I have a 10-year-old great grandson that I hate to see growing up into a world where he might have to be a soldier. Thank you for praying for all of us because we are all sure to need that prayer.

I think that all good grandmas are worried about the world for our grandkids. I can appreciate your concern too. Thank you for the gracious six stars too, dear friend. I appreciate your kindness so very much. Love, Debi

Good rhyme scheme, and good situations described that definitely need some prayer. I appreciate that you included everyone in the final stanza. Most of all, I appreciate that you've taken the time to pray for each situation. Blessings. Carol

Thanks so much for your prayers. We're doing better; Mitch finished cardio rehab, so I have a bit more time now. He's still not able to drive, though.

Hi Debi, the world definitely needs more prayer. Your poem is beautifully penned. I especially liked:
No matter what path you may trod
It helps to give it all to God
(So true, and that means our money too.)
Soulful photo choice. Well done. Xo. M

Oh Teri, thank you from the bottom of my heart, you darling you. I wrote those for specific people but many can see themselves and have commented and I said I would pray for them. Thank you for the dear comments and the six stars dear one.
I was going to contact you soon anyway and tell you that from now until the18th you can send me info on Tom. Unless you want me to email you a copy of the questionnaire. Up to you. I am excited for this one because I have never done one for a husband of a friend. So is it going to be a surprise for him?
-
You are so welcome dear sweet friend. If you can send me a copy of the questionnaire that would be great. It will be a surprise for him! You are the best birthday person I know and he deserves the best on his birthday! love and blessings, Teri

This is beautiful and I know it's true. You pray for me, so faithfully, my friend. Prayer makes a difference because it brings God to us and us to God, not just for the answers or the results, but the presence of Him. I love you so much, Debi Lee, and thank you for your prayers.
Love & Blessings across the way tonight!
