Hi, Victor
This is delightful. Albeit a little bit raunchy. Why fight a good time when it comes along? Just go with the flow.
There is one thing I'm confused about Earlier in the poem You said you and she went to her door. Then, as she's leaving, she tosses the hat and says keep the hat. But at that point you're at your place, not her place so I'm getting a little confused with the transition. It's not a huge thing just a curiosity.
A very entertaining story and a poem
I enjoyed reading your poem
Good job. Thank you for sharing.

Yes, I worried about that as well. I thought about making it my door. But it just did not have the same panache. So..,did
you read the author?s notes? This was my way out. Chuckle. Good observation.

A poignant piece with some whimsy thrown in for good measure. I enjoyed the elegant simplicity of the wordplay and verbiage you selected to detail this encounter. I can visualize it all and I felt oddly pleased after finishing reading it.

Haha! What a story! And yes, of course you were a gentleman I think. Firstly the visual is absolute magic and leads me into your delightful free verse expressed in very respectful period speak. The hat is the focal point and the description of the tall hatted woman is wonderfully quaint. Then we have things quickly escalating into carnal pleasures. My favourite line is "still bound by her thighs." And your conclusion with her leaving the hat behind is perfect! Well done! Debbie

Thank you, Debbie. I just couldn?t resist this one. ?The Tall Hatted Woman? phrase came to me out of nowhere. But I couldn?t let it go. I just loved the image of it.
Giggling, many thanks.

OK then, this was not what I expected but you wrote it well and handled it well, but of course, were you not a gentleman? There is a literary art in delivering the unexpected to the reader. This is what you did and I thank you for it. Good job.
