You do have rhyme and rhythm down pat which is a very large plus. You also have humour and - gasp - something to say! Once you get to the stage where you have these tools in your kitbag you can start having fun with your muse instead of waving to her (or him) in the distance.

like this wry and whimsical look at the life of a poet. My wife who is a very practical person thinks that poets are writers are among the most useless creatures in the world she only married me due to temporary, insanity which has lasted 42 years!
