So well composed. This poem conveys the spirit of the old mariners, with a clear message with a touch of humor. The choice of imagery and ending were effectively presented. Great response to the prompt. Overall, it worked well for this reader.

My Dear Sir....you are right ...this is a bit of a mud wrestle mishmash..as many of mine are...you are probably more of a pure poet...my hook up with Fan Story is primarily to have a deadline and a date of composition...the science of structure escapes me...free verse et al....I just launch them off and see what sticks...these are mostly entries in light verse kid's contests...Godspeed to you and yours...Stu Harrell
