Another good chapter to your novel. It also is an easy read that moves along very good. Lots of information about your characters,
This chapter has a nice flow and steady pace.

Thank you!

Sami's being a pain. If she doesn't like law enforcement, she should have stayed out of their hair. Maybe she'll learn after having to stay in the safe house. After all Noah's done to try to keep her safe, he did not deserve the slap. She'll surely learn. She was angry about her dog being sedated, but if he's like her he probably would have attacked them otherwise. I hope Sami listens to Noah's explanation, but she may be too willful. Sami's anger carries over as she isn't nice to Sarah or Jose either. Here's hoping her attitude changes. Noah's tried to explain what happened and his safety concerns, but will she listen?

Sami is acting out because of the guilt she feels. She feels she's responsible for Myra being kidnapped. Thank you for the kind review.

This is a great chapter for clarifying everything that's gone on before in the hope that Sami would be a bit more understanding. It's quite credible, however, that she should be put out about all the bugging, drugging of her dog and contact with her parents. She is justifiably feeling used. In short, this gives a very balanced account of the precarious situation in which Noah has to weigh her safety against unacceptable intrusiveness. Excellently done, Barbara. Thanks for sharing. Debbie

Apparently Sami isn't ready to forgivie Noah. Shs is pretty headstrong and she doen't like the fact he has gone to her parents. So the girl she was originally ttying to save is safe with her grandparents. I'm sure she does feel like she is in prison.

Sami isn't listening to Noah, big mistake. I thought he explained it all perfectly, and she should be grateful. She went into this totally unprepared, not knowing what that particular world is about. There was no way she could have rescued those girls on her own, she would just have ended up as a sex slave herself. This is an excellent story, Barbara, you are really putting us in there with Sami. I'll be watching for the next chapter. :) Sandra xx

Ooh at a little bit of an impasse with the female protagonist, Sami, and the male protagonist, Noah, who is trying to hold his role as an undercover type in tact, and of course, Sami reacts predictively, beautifully written Barbara, blessings Roy

Sami's headstrong pride is going to be a problem. Right now she is blind to the realities of a criminal operation that is beyond her experience. The main characters are no doubt ruthless who will do whatever is necessary. The person who is trying to save her is being fought without reason or real cause. I pray for her sake that she wakes up to the truth before she is seriously harmed. This is a very good series of incidents that I am sure will give me some worrisome moments.

Noah has done a good job of explaining things to Sammi (and at the same time given readers a good recap). Maybe, when she's had time to digest it, she'll start to come round. However, she's not good at digesting humble pie, so it may take another intervention by Big T to convince her.
You have used action tags well to break what is mainly monologue.
I'm enjoying this and will look forward to next week's instalment.

The scene you described was realistic and compelling. I could feel Sami's pain and embarrassment. I like the way you described the hate in Sami's eyes as she talks to Noah. I like the way she put the pillow over her ears, lol. He's tough, she's tough. Good combination. You've got a great story going, my friend!!

Take care,
Rhonda

I'm getting a little fed up with Sami. She is becoming quite unreasonable. I hope you change her attitude in the near future. Really good writing job.

Sami will calm down once she realized what's really going on, but it'll take a couple for more posts before she does. She's ignorant about what she'd dealing with. Thank you for the kind review.
