LOL, well how fun is? I'll tell you--it is six stars full of fun. Debi, how creative to come up with this poem for the Super Bowl. For this one, I think there are good stories on both sides. Whoever wins it will deserve it. I'll cheer them both! Well done. Terry.

Hi Terry, well how great is it that your team is destined to win. Congrats! LOL.

Sounds like you have watched a game or two. Not like my greedy, dumb cousin. He thought the invitation was to eat soup out of a bowl. That fool showed up ready to eat soup and could not understand why there were hot wings, hot dogs, beer and chips. He kept asking, "Where's the soup?" What a dummy. LOL. I enjoyed the poem. Another great, creative gem.

Hey Nomi, who eats just soup on Super Bowl? LOL, we are having chili, but with all the fixings. Even tho I have to be careful with the salt. And yes, I love football. With three brothers, I had to learn it well very young to play and then they all played in HS.... My best friend of forty years, her cousin is TJ Hockinson from the MN Vikings. This year we had so many injuries that we had backups to the backups for quarter back. OUCH!

Thanks so much for the fun review and comments and for the awesome six stars. As always, you are so kind and I so appreciate it, my very dear BBB

I wouldn't even know where to begin with the rules of American football, I believe it's a mash up of rugby and football, but I can never get to grips with rugby either. I always enjoy watching the half time shows when I can. A well written piece, Debi, I enjoyed reading it.

Hi Jacob, and thanks so much. You are too kind. When I looked at my poem this morning I could tell that the wrap form did not work well with this one, as it left it too bumpy. So I disabled it and worked it into a monorhyme and think it's much better now. So thank you for being so gracious about it, my dear friend.

A six star rating for this one. Go ahead and say it though. Kick some ass. I insist. No one will be offended. Watching from the cheap seats with the fam.

Sending you my best today as always, my friend, and blessings abundant.
Love,
Sal and the men XOs

Ahh, the Super Bowl! I don't follow much football and am only forced to watch as my sons are huge game fans. Although everyone likes a good game, and I think this one will be close, Debi!

Super Poem for the Super Bowl! Best, JohnC

It seems to be a big deal here, although I'm not fond of American football, it's similar to rugby,. But they are having a lot of fans at the local hotel, thanks for this deftly written poem Debi, well done, blessings Roy

Suggestion: The ball is handed off...

We don't have super-bowl here so I don't really know what it's like. But I did enjoy your poem, Debi. I loved the way you had the internal rhyme in some lines, just as if we were watching the race to get over the line. The line:::
As quarterback completes his pass
player with mass, may kick some... grass... was especially funny. Well done, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

I really enjoyed the unusual rhyming scheme here, including the effective and lively internal rhyme. As an Australian, my experience of the Super Bowl has usually been seeing the halftime performances, but I understand what a massive cultural phenomenon it is in the States. Bit of international interest this year because of the Taylor effect! :)
