Thank God for mothers who know in practical terms what is right for their children and are prepared to stand up against those with plenty of "book learning" but who don't know the individual child they're dealing with. This is sadly a somewhat familiar refrain I used to hear frequently from my music teacher in relation to her niece.

Thank you Navada. You are right. Head knowledge needs to be accompanied by understanding of each person as an individual. And that is rare, unfortunately.
