Hi Terry, this is a beautiful tribute to Sarah. She led an amazing life, and she never stopped making new friends and having new adventures. That's says a lot about her attitude, and the reason why she survived being divorced or separated from her husband at the age of 79. The was a blow that had to hurt.
Of note ... I think she may have been more excited about the book than me. But that was Sarah.
(Terry, that is women in general. "We are the Cheerleaders of Life.")
Fantastic photo of you and Sarah. Santa looks good too, and your book is shining brightly too. A beautiful farewell. Well done.

Maragret, thank you for your kind words. You are right about most women. Sarah certainly fit the description. Terry.

Since they were "invented", I have always believed that milestone posts should be especially polished. You start with a subject that has value and work extra hard at it. You have succeeded well in that here, this is a worthy one. Well done, kay

Kay, good to hear from you, and honestly, I didn't know it was a milestone post until someone mentioned it to me. I doubt there will be another. I do appreciate the extra star for Sarah. Terry.

Barbara, thank your review. I didn't know it was a milestone post until someone mentioned it. I'm pretty sure I will not make another. Sarah, was a good lady, like some many other on site. Terry.

Thank you for writing this moving tribute to a genuine gem. Sarah may have lost her life, we of the FS family lost so much more. The loss of life is traumatic to all those who loved the deceased, when that person has left a legacy such as a solid list of posts here, we can at least revisit their portfolios. Sarah is someone I wish I had gotten to know better. The problem is that there are so many really interesting people her, you are destined to miss someone.

Thanks a lot for telling the story of this amazing woman and her life journey. I'm so glad you helped her to join Fanstory and make new friends. I'm sure she really appreciated your friendship, too. I agree with you that posting writing here at Fanstory is more than just writing. Friendship means a lot to me, too.
Well done.

Terry...
Your story touched me in so many ways. I feel as if I missed out knowing this wonderful lady. I've been absent from FS quite a bit in the past two years (life got in my way). I too returned to FS not only for "therapy" but because I knew I would find friends again. You were blessed to have shared time with Sarah and I'm blessed with your thoughts. So heartwarming to know that we can find that necessary "hug" from our FS friends. Beautiful!
Smiles and hugs, Carol

Terry, thank you for sharing about Sarah's passing. I was just getting to know her when she suddenly became ill. What a wonderful person she was and already dearly missed. I hope I leave this world with as much enthusiasm and grace as she. Beautifully written and illustrated from a friend. My condolences to you and all of us that are hurting today.
Love & Blessings,
Sal

Isn't it fascinating how our lives can inter mix with others and those others become part of our lives...I did read several poems and posts about her in the past moth or so...
I am glad that she had you...and inspiration for her to write... and to get her a flash light...ha ha
Small things make all the difference.

Lisa, thank you for reading. Yeah the flashlight started it, but I wanted a little humor, because Sarah laughed a lot. Terry.

I'm not sure if I can do this through the tears, but whoa, you stopped me in my tracks when you said she passed away. I feel half numb and the other half, sick.
Terry, I am so sorry for your loss, as you knew Sarah personally and I am sorry for her family. I am also sorry for us, for myself, that this woman I had come to love is now gone so quickly. What a beautiful soul and I am better for knowing her.
Right now I am feeling the shock and sadness that I can't say a lot more, except that you did a lovely job of writing this. Thank you for the kind words about how much the poems meant to her. Doing them has become just as meaningful to me, and I have been so touched by Sarah's appreciation.
I still can't believe she passed away already, but if her spirit lingers for a while, like I have always heard it does until they cross over, then I know she will feel the love that so many felt for her. She will be missed with heavy hearts, as I didn't realize how much I cared until right now. In the short time since we became close, she truly captured mine.
And how fitting and appropriate that this would be your two hundredth milestone.
It couldn't worked out better. And you can bet she didn't let that go unnoticed.
Tonight if you see a star twinkle, look a little closer as it may be her winking at you.
Congrats on your milestone post, my friend!!!!
God's love and peace will always surround you now, Sarah.
Farewell my friend, until we meet again!! With much love, your friend, Debi
