Oh, what an awful ending. How did "Chip" dying help Moira? Now she has the monkey to mourn, as well as her son.
This is well-written -- my reaction -- but I'm a wuss. Sorry! (*smile*)

If Chip had not sacrificed himself, most likely Dr. Price would do his best to ruin Moira's reputation, as she was the one the monkey first spoke to. In Flash Fiction, you have to omit some direct details.

No, I get it. I am, after all, a writer of fiction also. I, too, have written some pretty awful endings. I thought you would realize how much the story moved me, is all, if I gave you my honest reaction. I also thought the rating would have told you.

I am so thankful for your words. I'd rather be an optimist thsn as pessimist. I'm grateful that you took the time to write.
-
You're very welcome.

Please continue to write!

Thank you. At seventy-one years old and writing most of my life, I doubt I will ever stop.

Since I'm one year older, I know if I can do it, you can!

Thank you for sharing this club entry with us. I enjoyed reading. It's very creative and sad. I was cheering for the monkey. The video goes perfectly with the entry.
"I don't drink, sir, Moira replied. (sir,")
The next day, Doctor Price burst in with some of his personnel. (The following day)

Another piece of good writing this entry kind I reminds me of an old 80s movie titled Project X with Mathew Broderick and Helen Hunt. The movie takes place at an animal research lab as well.

Love is always worth it eh Jim, I can see that's the way you think, The Lord God has tremendous abilities, way above us, but love is the most noble way, and to die for someone is the highest honour. We can do acts of kindness, show mercy, generosity, but the highest calling is to die so others live, beautifully written Jim, blessings Roy

It doesn't sound like the Doctor thought out the results of his experiment. Please check this one line: "I don't drink, sir,(")Moiria replied. You need a quotation mark after the comma. What a wonderfully written story. I wish I had a six for you. Best of luck with your writing!
Have a great day, and God bless.

I'll have to talk to that writer. Maybe he'll have a change of heart and do away with the doctor instead!
-
Ha ha ha, you made me smile Jim x x x

I so much rather rather see a smile than a frown upon your face!

Aw. Poor Chip. I thought for sure she was going to kidnap him in the middle of the night. But I am a sucker for stories that don't end happy, so in the end, I think the piece is solid! The only thing that stood out as needing a quick edit was this: "I don't drink, sir, Moira replied. --the second quotation mark was missing.
Well done. ~WY

I'm so glad for you and others who caught that typo. I changed it earlier. I am grateful to you and everyone that helps me become a better writer!
