There's a lot to unpack here - a bittersweet moment of birth without the loving father, the music factor that bound the parents together now emerging as a lullaby, and the new life that will progress from this point forward. Thanks for the share and good luck for the contest.

This is really beautiful! A type of circle of life from the death of the father to the birth of the child. Very poignant. I can relate to the attitude also toward the stupid things the doctor would say. Lovely ending poem, all around great story.
