The photo is great. I got lost with motif, though after reading the definition, I suspect it works. I think I should return to school. Good luck in the haiku contest.

Thanks Tom. I took art in school so the motif is something familiar to me, maybe not everyone.

It is amazing to watch birds and animals how they form a community and they are very kind to each other. I enjoyed your poem very much and I wish you the very best with all of your writing. Patricia.

They are indeed very clever reflectors of God's provision for survival from attack, they perform these difficult formations in the sky to enable this, beautifully written Beth, well done, blessings Roy

What I don't understand is some of the sky pictures don't look accidental. They create very realistic picture that look like birda or fish.

There much have been something about writing about thesesbirds in one of the club challenges because Wendy mentioned that she wrote about them. Acturally I read something Helen wrote about it and it caused me to look them up. I've seen some them in sky lately around here. I didn't mean to copy anyone. I didn't thing what I read was a haiku.

Oh I didn't know about the club challenge. I wrote mine after seeing an item on the news. No worries. Plenty of birds to go around. I'm just pleased they're so prevalent in the skies. And to be honest, I thought they weren't that well known in the US.

I wonder if my recent poem about murmurations has inspired you to write this lovely little poetic piece? I love the vivid imagery you have used in tis short poetic piece Beth. Good luck

Apparently a bunch of people wrote about them. It was a poem Helen wrote that caused me to look them up and the fact I saw some in my sky yesterday. I don't remember reading a haiku. I only remember reading but the one longer poem. Debbie says she wrote about them, too. I hope all the ones who wrote about them were for a different challenge.

wow how strange! I often find that other poets seem to be thinking along the same lines as me. Very weird!!
