You have successfully conveyed a very special atmosphere of vastness, serenity and peace in your vivid desriptions, and then a sense of spiritual glory and transformation, amazement and awe. Best wishes for your entry.

Very complex and interesting. This form of poetry relaxes the mind to go anywhere it wants. You wrote a very nice story for us. It was at times an emotional ride, with many stops. I enjoyed it. Karen

This is a very atmospheric post immersing the reader into the writer's world of indigo darkness and, as though in a dream, going further and further into the depths of that infinity until the soul merges completely with the surroundings. A mesmerising and meditative journey of discovery. Thanks for sharing your excellent free verse, Jim. Good luck Debbie

I was compelled to read this. With every line I felt the all-consuming darkness, wondering if this was a "dark night of the soul" -- a dreamlike state, depression pressing beyond the force of gravity, or a journey toward deep meditation.
Perhaps a bit of all! Perhaps none of that--
The point is as you emerged from the darkness, so did I!
"... nothing exists but a depth of Love I never before imagined or experienced..."
As lost as we feel, our Lord always finds us and leads us home.
This is so moving!

I read little to no poetry, and I only written a few in my life. But every once in a while I like to set out of my comfort zone seeking a little inspiration. Thanks for sharing.

I can say that I have been caught in that great unknown between heaven and the earth below, that vastness that is the cosmos is completely overwhelming with it the majesty of cosmos which speaks of the completeness that can be with the master of creation. This is divinely inspired Jim, beautifully done, well done, blessings

Hi Dolly, I think it might be a bit of the drugs being taken now that I am in full recovery of my total knee replacement. Chasing smiles between grimaces of pain with PT gorillas tasked to get me up and running , full steak ahead.

Wow
This emotes of reverence as well as mystique
I like how it flows here and there and yet I give pause to how often an 'indigo darkness' is versed.
Three to four BELLS would be 90-120 minutes as each strike of a nautical clock is a half hour. It may help landlubbers what a bell is.

Comment from Douglas Goff
The author's brain is far from stagnant. Well thought out and maintains a steady flow to the last poignant stanza. Maybe 'revealing' stanza is a better fit.
This verse was my favorite:
Lost is all sense of time, lost is all awareness of body,
and lost are physical sensations. Again, a canvas painted
before me as infinitely unfettered, purely unrestrictive, is dazzling indigo.
Very nice. Thank you for sharing!
