Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted

It just never seems to end, does it not? Emma and Chet are strongest when she does not fight against his attempts to be her hero. I pray she will come to grips with the fact that he is not going to abandon her despite he attempts to be independent. This new challenge of Ronnie Calhoun should prove to be an asset to Peggy Barton and an added irritant to Emma and Chet. I can hardly wait for the next installment.

This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.
The highest and the lowest rating are not included in calculations.

Hard to belief these kids have only known each other for only two weeks. IA lot has happened within the short period of time. But how does one set timing on something bound to happen. LOL.

This is my first experience with your writing.
Not much into riding my books with cast of characters. And everyday normal things.
It's not that I don't want to do it.
I can write a romance novel, a horror novel, western.
I guess it's just my particular style. I'm stuck on now?
...
This was well written rich in Theme and Imagery.
It also, read well and flowed well with No Grammar Issues.
...
My Complete Synopsis:
The Objective and Adjective Contents were both Excellent and Exceptional while Descriptive Measures aligned perfectly.

Well, just when we think everything is going smoothly, there comes a few kinks in the armor, or should I say, the kick in the butt people. Thanks for sharing.

Friendship bracelet...Ohh, Seth don't get pushed into the "friend zone". Ha!
Couple of suggestions if I may?

rumor mills will be busy. (I've always seen this as rumor mill. Maybe no 's'?)

Also:

What are you going to do about him?"
(What're. A very smart lady named Barbara taught me that is just how people talk)

A bigger issue is that the question wouldn't come from Seth. It's out of character. He's an alpha male cop, albeit a nice one, but he'd never ask her what she's going to do. ( I would know cause that's coming from an alpha male cop.)

Just my two cents.

Regardless, this chapter is another great one and added to the feeling that things are building to a final confrontation with the nemesis.

Thank you for the catches. I always appreciate help. Fresh eyes catch things the author reads over. I deleted the sentence, agreeing Seth is always in control or wants to be. LOL
