Those letters are really very thought provoking. If it's something that is going to be passed from one generation to the next, you want something honest and interesting. I hope it comes through for you. Gretchen

Thank you for understanding.

Barbara, we all suffer from those doubts from time to time. What is also important is that your writing should never become a chore. Some weeks, it happens to me and I simply don't write. Then everything is good again. Take your time. Your grandchildren are still very young and so are you. There's time. And then, before you know it all comes together. A hug, Ulla :)))

I certainly understand. It's been an emotional two weeks for me personally.
This is a chapter you can run with city vs. country life. You have experienced both so you can easily make the comparisons. Perhaps even European life compared to America.
My middle son lived in China for a year as a missionary and as a student. The stories he told made us all scream. He traveled the countryside sharing the gospel and won many to Christ. The real church of believers is underground and meet in huts and caves for fear of the Communists.
You could compare life in Germany to where the girls are presently or life in your hometown when you were their age.
Our grandkids are always asking us about it, and going through my scrapbooks. I have them on the coffee table so they can browse anytime.
Typos: prefer and close-knit.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sal XOs

Hi Barb, what's up I feel like you are having a bad case of procrastination dipped in double sadness. It's everything okay? Let me know if I can share some of my encouragements, of course, mananana:) I hope tomorrow you will drop this blue mood and be the happy old self. Take care, Iza

Thanks for sharing your little lesson about discipline. About how hard to worked to trying to write something, but then, weren't willing to post it because it didn't meet up to your expectations. There is a lesson in this post for all of us. Thanks for sharing.
