The loss of someone we love is never and will never be easy to endure. Memories pop up to punish you for surviving. It is not your fault but still, you are here and they are gone. What can you do besides miss them. Honor them by living your best life.
On another note I will be soon posting a tribute to my deceased daughter, it is titled "Visitation Day" I have not yet posted it, you will be notified.

Hello, Jesse,
What moves me about your exceptionally well-crafted poem is that although I know it's about Sunny, and your grief is palatable, your words will resonate with so many individuals who have lost a loved one - human or otherwise.
These two lines truly resonate with me:
"Change is clearly
An eternal song"

We all grieve at our own pace...
And we all heal at our own pace as well...

Sending you healing thoughts, and know for a certainty that I am touched by the message of your moving poem...

Thank you for sharing!

We all grieve in a different pattern, Jesse. I only know that after several years in various ICU and eleven years in hospice, I truly know that even with Sunny's death, she was with you a long time, she was special. Blessings, prayers n hugs!!!

Another fine poem, Jesse....and yes, despite what we think, life goes on and takes us with it if we're willing to go. If we wait it out, the bad things fade; not entirely, but the grief becomes a bit more manageable

I've felt this way often following my wife's death. But, it won't end here. I know I'll see her again! Thank you for very sensitive work! Combining dreams with grief is something, unfortunately, most of us will have to go through.

Aw, Jesse, thanks for sharing this wonderful poem with us. I know how much Sunny meant to you, but as you're saying another day arrives and the sun is still shining. In other words, life goes on. Ulla:)))
