No doubt about that. But Afterall, what does a young teen know about life? Trial and error. Give a person something to remember when he gets old. Best to you.

What a cringe-worthy story! At every turn of the plot, you got me thinking, 'oh no! He's not going to do that! But he does ." Hoping it was not autobiographical! Entertaining!
These should be brother's:
my older brothers apartment,
brothers apartment, left
brothers car repairs.

No, not autobiographical, though I did some bone-headed things as a youngster?
Thank you Helen for reading.

Yep, probably should have listened to your older sister, but boys will be boys. As a mother of four boys, been there done that. LOL I enjoyed reading.
I should've listened to her. ('to her' isn't needed, it's understood.)
Even though I decided no to tell my parents about the suspension, (decided not to)

Hi John, I think the young man in this story still got a soft landing because he could have been arrested, finger printer, and convicted with an unknown penalty sentence. In answer to if this young man should have listened. The now obvious answer is yes. Lol, John, the guy could have taken the soda, chips, and car keys and just sit in the car snacking away and eating the chips. However, in the development of a young mind, these things happens, and the obvious is not so plain to see.
Good writing. You kept my attention from the beginning of the story to the very end. Great school-bus photo. It looks like this guy did a number on that bus. As a mother and as a further punishment, I think I would have made this guy take the school bus all the way through his senior year. Yeah, he would have been the only senior on the bus or he would have been doing a lot of walking. I was a mean Mommy. A fun story that made me smile. Well done. Margaret

You? A mean mommy? I can?t believe that.
This is all fiction, meant to be more humorous than serious. A firecracker in a school today is big trouble.
Do you think I should put a date somewhere at the beginning of about 30 years ago?
Thank you, Margaret for reading and sharing.
All the best?. John

You could put a date. I don't think that it would add or detract from the story, except that going back 30 years ago, a cop would bring the child home to their parents and not arrest them. I have two grown sons and I had my share of "mischief." Luckily, those days are behind me and everyone got out unscathed. Lol, but true. M

This read as so real. I had to go back and check. It's exactly the sort of stupid behaviour you'd expect from teenagers. I think your character was lucky to get away so lightly, but the facts were compelling. I found it really well-written, and enjoyed it very much. kay
