this story felt very serene and comforting
one suggestion i have is that you have "pine needles" written twice in a very short story, maybe find another way to word one of them? just a thought!

I have been working on that very thing! I did a little editing on the pine needles earlier today, but I don't know if they show up after it is submitted. I appreciate the help. Thank you so much for reviewing.

This is an excellent 75 words Flash fiction. I love the way you describe the woodsy friends you are with as you slip into the darkness of the forest. This speaks of the view of a nature trail that I have often trod on with my wheelchair being pushed by a good friend.
I love nature and its smell of the trees engulfing me and the woodsy feel of the forest.
