This is a great story, Jesse. Your positive attitude is inspiring and is vividly described here in this story. Your words set an example for us all. Well done. Take care, my friend. - Jamison

I am glad my words are inspiring. I had hoped that writing this, to set an example for others who have done the same thing.
Thanks, Jamison, for being supportive.
Enjoy your week!

This is also an uplifting review, my friend. Thank you for wishing me the best as I round the corners of my life. I will continue on and try my best to move forward to gain the prize at the end of the race.

I used to tell my clients that progress didn't move in a straight line, but a squiggly one instead. It's a setback, but sometimes these things focus us and the support of friends motivate us, and we move forward slowly but surely toward our ultimate goal. Believe in yourself!

Hello Pam. I will believe in myself if you will do the same. I hear through the grapevine that you are leaving us for a while. I will be sorry to see you leave yet I hope you recover from whatever you have and that goes for your husband too.

Thank you, Jesse. All I have to recover from is burnout where my writing is concerned. And I'll be in a writing class for 18 weeks. My husband has a longer journey.
Thank you for your well wishes. Best of luck to you and I'll see you when I return.

I wish you well with your writing class!

This is a well written story - an open and honest account of your struggles to walk passed the finish line. Keep your eye on the prize and your feet on the ground. The positive mindset you share will encourage mind over matter and others to strive in reach of just rewards.

Uplifting story with a solid message. Keep moving forward, advancing toward chasing your goals.
I love attending rodeos. As your illustration I would have liked to have seen a bucking bronco or wild eyed bull. But that is just me.
Great piece of writing.

Thank you for bringing us up to date on your progress. You are not only in the healing process, you are in a learning process, as well. You body is teaching you what it is, and is not yet ready to do. Now that you know, and are paying careful attention to your body, ambition and determination will propel you to your goal. Hip hip hooray, you are on your way. We are all rooting for you. You story is well written.

Sounds like you've been overdoing things. Slow and steady wins the race, as they say. Sorry you've had a setback, but I know that's not going to keep you from continuing to make progress with your walker. You're going to keep at it with gumption and determination. I'm glad to hear you're not going to let this setback deter you. All the best. Very well written article. judi

Thanks for the update, Jesse! And I'm proud of you - for even straining yourself because that meant you were trying hard. And I'm proud of you for taking this break and listening to your body so it can mend. No effort is wasted because in your straining, you were building up more bone mass and that will help your health overall. Keep up the good work!

Hello Helen. I didn't know that straining builds up bone mass. It didn't occur to me that I was doing something healthy for my body. I will continue to heal and thanks for being proud of me. It makes me feel special to know you care enough to be proud of me!

I remember my Zumba instructor telling me that when we jog etc, we are creating those microfractures in our bones and our bones heal up stronger. Of course, the muscles around those bones will complain. But I know you will pace yourself to avoid setbacks and keep moving forward. 💖🙏

Pacing myself is not always easy when an activity is fun and risky. A Zumba instructor might disagree with what I do, yet it is a lot of fun!

Jesse,
I can completely relate to your story. When I was recuperating from my back injury, I participated in physical therapy. I pushed myself too hard and too fast, as I was impatient to walk again. If I carry things that are too heavy for me, I feel a lot of pain.
Listen to what your body feels; you'll have a nicer time getting better.
Your eloquent essay attests to your great determination.
Blessings,
Jesse.

Thanks, Cindy, for your supportive and insightful review! I can relate to what you say about trying too hard and too fast. I am having a great time recuperating as well as relaxing and resting for all the time I need to get better.
Thanks for the exceptional rating and review! I can attest to my determination for going slow this time and not let the ways of the world bring me down.
Thanks for the blessings and may you have an enjoyable week!
