This poem, Hope, leapfrogs stanzas filled with philosophical questions over statements of intent, as the individual strives to be recognized and accepted.

Thanks Bill, I appreciate you.

This is a beautiful, heartfelt and inspirational poem of faith that adequately examines the characteristics of hope. Hope, like faith, is useless without work. I like the example for writers you use in your notes. Your poem delivers a powerful and lasting message.

You did a great job with your poem about hope, Nomi.
I enjoyed the monorhyme within each verse. Your lines
read smoothly with great end rhymes. Your many of
examples of where/when hope is tangible were great.
To have hope shows the individual hasn't given up and
believes better days are ahead. It also speaks to one's faith.
Your notes were great, too. One cannot just sit and expect
great things to happen. S/he must work towards goals and
never quit.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Nolan, a truly inspiring and passionate poem to show it is with hope that we find our strengths to reach our goals. Without hope, we drift.
Best wishes

This was incredibly well written. It's true that with out hope life can be futile. We need hopes glimmer to remind us of what could be. During the storm, we hope for the sun. During the drought, we hope for the storm. Our hopes change with our struggles. Thank you for posting. Gretchen

This is a verse beautifully written with a powerful message.
You pose many thought provoking questions, that I am sure all of your readers will come away with.
I enjoyed the rhyme scheme, it takes on a musical quality.
Thank you for sharing this message of hope.

Beautifully said, Nomi!! Without hope, we could not go on in life. Loved how you started with questions to engage the reader and then you show us how to have hope. In Jesus we can "patiently wait for our comfort to arrive."

Hello, Nomi. (Please tell me your first name again)
Your outstanding poem inspired me to work harder at my endeavors.
I'm in my sixties, so I am thinking a lot about my mortality. Your stanza about the light I took to be Jesus. Without Him, I wouldn't have much to look forward to.
This is such a great poem with its seamless rhymes and deep meanings.
Good luck with this one, Nomi.
Blessings,
Cindy

Thank you Cindy. My full name id Nolan Miller, my father intended for my name to be Nolan McKinley Miller. I will probably start using it as there are a lot of Nolan Millers out there.

Nolan,
That?s a very nice photo. Your name sounds sophisticated. My first name is Lucinda( my grandmother?s name) it means bringer of light. Right now, I don?t live up to that name, but I?m trying.
Have a wonderful week, Nolan. I hope your poem wins.
Blessings,
Cindy

Hope needs to go along with true grit and determination. It isn't handed to you like candy on a stick. It repels those who beg from beginning to end for the things they need to work for. I hope that I have made myself clear that hope is an idea that rises through experience and descends when faith is not in it. Thank you for addressing that I inspired you with my previous poem called Hope. I am honored and thrilled.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Nomi,
I like the question and answer style of this poem. Faith and hope do give us strength to move ahead and do the work needed to fulfill our needs and the needs of others.
Keep writing and stay healthy
