First of all, I hope you are feeling better. I know it takes a while to feel somewhat normal again after Covid.

I enjoyed reading your poem. It was truly from the heart and gives a good insight of the love and memories you have watching your granddaughter grow up. It's refreshing in these days of turmoil and stress, to read something so positive and real.

A beautiful poem for your beautiful granddaughter, Kenzie Jo. That's a real Southern name - I'm Pamela Jo and my mother's family was from Kentrucky.

Your family is lucky to have a mother and grandmother who is able to share her feelings for them in poetry.

Keep on healing, my friend:-)

xxoo
Pam

Thank you Pam! She must have been named for after her virtual great auntie Pam. Lol. I appreciate your very kind words for her poem. Maybe someday by email I can show you a couple photos of the poetry and picture book I made for my entire family. Twenty six family members which included even my siblings and their poem and pictures on their 2 very large 12x12 pages that had pics related to what I wrote in their poem.. it was my biggest bucket list item that I finished in time to give everyone their own copy for Christmas last yr. Lotsa tears that night! Thanks also my sweet friend for your well wishes.

That is a nice way to help you recover, Debi, the memories will bring a smile, and cheer you up. It's lovely to know she grew up nice inside and our, my lovely granddaughter did too. But where did all those years go? I love this poem, you'll have to publish a book of them so all your family can read them once in a while. I hope you are feeling much better my friend, but now I hear you have COVID! You are certainly going through it. I'm sure all the prayers will help. Sending you much love and loads of warm hugs. :)) Sandra xx

Hi Debi, this poem is so beautiful and heartfelt. I could feel the love of a grandmother. I especially liked:

I adored rocking you in my arms
As you kept growing, so did my heart

(Debi, you heart never stops growing. Soon it will cover the earth.)

Gorgeous photo of Kenzie. She is a beautiful girl/woman. Well done.
Well done. Thank you for sharing your love. Xo. Margaret ~ LB

p.s. I love that Kenzie wanted to be a weather girl. I wonder where she got that one from?

Haha! That remark about weather girl was awesome and hilarious ! Hmmm, I never really thought about that before, but she could stand in front of the tv, turn the sound down and tell it almost as well as the real ones. Do you think that was from being in the room for the first ten times he watched it those mornings. She didn't even get shushed. Lol... Thanks for your kind words for my Kenzie Jo, my friend!

Grandchildren never get sushed--only the wives get sushed. When we're gone, they can live in all the solitude that they want. Xo. Maggie

Most of the times he can be the greatest guy in the world, but I hate being shushed.

Debi...

Delightful. Personal. Touching. What a fitting tribute to a lovely young lady who is obviously cherished and loved dearly by her gramma. I can't quite tell, but is there a second generation family resemblance in that smile?

Sorry to hear you've been fighting COVID but glad to hear you are recuperating from it.

Blessings...

Thanks Curt! Well I guess I might be jumping the gun when I say recuperating since I just came down w it on Monday and now my Dr is wondering if she should put me in the hospital because fever doesn't want to go down. And I am weak. But I am sure it will be ok, eventually. Lol! Thanks for the sweet comments about my Angel girl. She is pretty special and I have many poems on reserve soI will post every few days until I can write again. Thanks again my dear friend.

    Good grief, Debi...

Let me guess... you are most likely an optimist, right?

Praying for a speedy recovery. Get well soon.

Beautiful! Love her name! I feel this same way... My oldest, Madison, is 18, in college...

Seems I was rocking her to sleep yesterday.

I pray your symptoms let up...so sad you got Covid on top of surgery and rehab!

Hugs,

Karenina

Hey there Sweetie, thank you so much for your lovely review. I am so glad that you can relate with your darling Madison. And btw, I love that name.
I hear that you are having problems with your computer being hacked. I am wondering the same thing as my ipad is just acting so bizarre lately and I keep a close eye on my credit card statement all the time to watch to make sure it hasn't been compromised. Yet I have Apple and all the Nortons on all my devices and I still worry about it. I hope you get it figured out soon. I miss seeing you around here and was starting to worry that you were sick again. Take care and let me know how it is going with your computer whenever you can. Thanks for the lovely review and sweet words for Kenzie Jo.
