So. This is thrilling, technically perfectly written and there is lots of action. I find it difficult to believe I came to this novel so late, it has been such fun to fall into. But, and there is a but, and it's a big but here. For me, Meg's change in attitude from fear, confusion and then distrust of Margot to:
'If it is true, and I'll have to take your word for it,
and then total acceptance
came too quickly and with little explanation as to how (other than that one reference to them laughing together). If it were me, I'd be looking for a reason for the mistrust that Margot could bat away, or a half-way house of emotion. As I don't know what comes next, it's difficult to suggest. But given their looks, suspicion by Meg of something between Margot and Miles springs to mind. This would be concrete and dealing with it would give Margot more chance to agonise over her hidden feelings, and an opportunity to demonstrate integrity/ claims that she just wants to get back to her own world, whatever. Sorry to land this on you. It's just thougts for your revision stage. Kate xx

Don't apologise, Kate, you're perfectly right. I'll work on that scene and add it to this chapter. It's a valid 'BUT' and I'm so glad you raised it. It would add more tension as well. The next chapter is nearly finished, I'm having a ball with it! Lol
Thank you so much for this really helpful review, my friend. I really appreciate it. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

Oh, Sandra! So sensationally perfect! The hanger was the best I've seen yet in this book. The fact that Margot is in love with Miles is intriguing, not to mention brilliant! There has got to be a huge TWIST coming. I refuse to rack my brains trying to figure out your mind, so I'll wait it out this time. Loved it! Best, JohnC

Lol, I do love reading your reviews, John, thank you so much for this lovely review. You're all going to find out who it is in the next part, and then it will be Margot going home. Lots of tears! You've been a great support, my friend, and I've really appreciated you. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

Sandra,
This is an excellent additional chapter to the book The Return. You have created a wealth of intriguing characters and have written a thought provoking mystery/fantasy that captures the reader's imagination.
All the best,

This is an excellent chapter. I thought they had ruled out Lady Crawley. I know she didn't like Meg. I can't think of another woman who would want to to see Meg dead. I guess it could be Elizabeth Brandon. She didn't like Meg because she looked so much like her mother who Elizabeth was insanely jealous of. I'm anxiously awaiting the next chapter.

Thank you so much, Beth, for another lovely review. I'm writing the next chapter now, so you're going to find out who the lady is. I'm not saying anything to anyone now. It's so close and I've had such a fun time writing this book. Thank you so much for all your support, my friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xx
