I am so happy you are feeling so much better, Sandra. God Bless you and allow you a speedy recovery. Miles and Margot have done a great job in your absence and we will soon see an end to the problem that's evident. LOL Bessie is a great addition. Nancy:)

LOL!! Nancy, you are so funny! I loved this review. Yes, they got on very well while I was ill. I think I'll just sit back and let them get on with it!!!! LOL
Thank you so much, my dear friend, for this lovely, fun review, you really made me laugh. Bessie is a bit like my Mildred, and I'm wondering if it might be an idea to give her another asignment. She could have her own series. What do you think? Thank you for the golden star, dear friend, you've put the biggest smile on my face. Love and hugs, Sandra xxxxxx

I'm so glad you're doing much better, Sandra. That is really good news.
This was a wonderful chapter which I really enjoyed. They are now getting so much closer to the truth. I loved the scene where Bessie played her little cranks. Wonderful!!!. I can't wait for the continuation. A big hug. Ulla xxxx

Aw, thank you, Ulla. I just have to get my strength back up, and take care of my ribs. But now my oxygen levels are up a bit more, it has made such a difference.
Yes, they are getting closer to the truth, and I'm hoping they will soon discover who it is, and let ME know!! Thank you so much, my dear friend, you are always so supportive, and say such nice things, I really do appreciate you. The sixth star is alway a wonderul bonus. Thank you!
What is your weather like? We are expecting highs of 40! That has never happened, ever, in England! Sending you a big hugs, and lots of love. Sandra xxx

We are hot, and have been for weeks now and no end in sight. I know you're in for some very hot weather. Take good care of yourself. We're more used to it here and our houses are built for it. The walls of my house are 60 centimetres thick stonewalls. Again I'm so glad you're better. The Fisherman will be back next week. I feel like writing again. I so love your story. A big hug and love, Ulla xxxx

It's all catching up with the villains. I would love to be in the room when Bessie played Mr. Turnbull. Crankston-Smythe knows he's done for. Now, Miles and Margot can be married and live happily together.

I would love to be able to be Bessie! What fun we could have if we could be invisible. Lol. Thank you so much for another lovely review, dear Yvonne, and for your wonderful support. Love you lots, dear SATP. Sandra xxxx

This story just gets better and better. Bessie is a great character.
I've already mentioned that I know you murdered your father and husband ... & Even though you told me on your visit that I wasn't mentioned in Richard's will, (omit 'that')
He moved over to the chair but didn't sit down & Miles finally sat down, his hand rubbing his forehead. (omit 'down')

Thank you so much, Barbara, for another lovely review, and for the beautiful golden star! I'm so pleased you are still enjoying it. And thank you for the telling me about those two nits! Have a wonderful week, my friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

A onger than usual chapter this one. It makes me think we are nearing a resolution when all questions will be answered.
Seeing that pencil writing by itself must have really put the wind up those not in the know - a fascinating chapter.

Yes, it was a lot longer, it just kept coming. I wanted to get the two scenes in, but that meant I couldn't just stop at my usual 1600 words. When I checked, it was about 2000. No one has moaned, yet! Lol.
I'm glad you liked the ghosty part, I enjoyed writing that.
I hope you're going to stay indoors today? Or at least, stay out of the heat. I don't do that sort of temperature, I didn't when we lived in Spain, either. At least they built places to keep the heat out.
Keep safe, and chat on Sunday? Love and hugs, Sandra xx
it hit 32 here today but I have been outside under the shade of the gazebo, so It is really just another warm day. It is on its way down now I fancy and some showers are forecast for tomorrow. So that is summer over I suppose.
I wonder if the Mercs can manage another podium on Sunday. See you then.

We're 35, too hot for me. We went shopping very early this morning, and now I'm inside until we go for a stroll late tonight.
I hope they do get on the podium, I'd like to see Hamilton start to make some headway up the ladder so the next half of the season he can really go for it. It's still possible, just! 😊

I'm so glad that you are feeling much better and hopefully in a few more days you'll be as good as new. Well, that might be pushing it for us over thirty crowd. But you know what I mean. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Ric. Yes, I know what you mean!! Lol. I am a tad over thirty! The body knows it, but the brain refuses to accept it. Thank you, dear friend, for reading this chapter, and for your wonderful continued support. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

-Glad to hear you continue to do better, Sandra, and that your doctors were chuffed, too.
-An excellent chapter with Bessie working her magic, trying to get to the bottom of all of the mysteries of the whodunit!
-Margot makes very good points to Gwendolyn, especially at the end when she says Richard probably hated her more than he did Gwendolyn.
-Bessie doesn't need too much encouragement, and she puts on a show, especially with the alcohol in the fireplace!
-I think the note is the perfect finishing touch for the first scene. Gwendolyn must think so, too!
-A very good second section with Miles confronting Crankston-Smythe.
-I was a little confused when he told Miles his mother didn't want him to marry the daughter of Mistress Margaret's mother. Wouldn't that be Margaret?
-The revelation about the estate is an interesting twist in the story, and
it will be more so when we see how it all plays out after Miles has read the document. I like the touch about being able to read Latin since he had attended Eton.
-Well done, my friend.

Thank you so much, dear Pam, for another wonderful, detailed review. I love the way you go through the chapters telling me just what you enjoy about them.
I've just reread that part that you didn't understand. Yes, Lady Brandon, (Miles' mother) did not want to Miles to marry the daughter (Meg/Margaret) of the woman (Lady Crawley) her own husband (Lord Brandon) loved. If Miles' married Meg, Lady Brandon would be forced to look at Meg, and she would see, by association, Lady Crawley, and she would not put up with that! I've just read that back, and I think you'll be able understand what I've put since it's now as clear as mud!! LOL!
Thank you so much for the golden star, my lovely friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xxxx

You must be feelng better! This is the best-paced chapter I have read. The balance was spot on, and the interactions between your characters seemed to flow better. MInor point, either you're more on point, or I'm off today, but no nits did I see. Kate xx

I'm happy you're feeling better, Sandra. I love when Bessie performs her tricks. I'm beginning to think she is having fun with it as well. We are getting down to the nitty-gritty of who Meg's murderer is, but you have cleverly left it open-ended... AGAIN! I'm addicted. Loved it!

I'm so glad that you have published a new chapter. I haven't read every chapter because I was way traveling in Italy and Los Angeles. I have read enough to understand what's going on. Character introduction really helps. What a tale of murder and betrayal.
Get well soon.

My word, that covered some miles! Italy and Los Angeles is quite a distance apart!!! I'm sure you enjoyed it all.
Thank you so much for coming along and reading this chapter, Jasmine, that really meant a lot to me. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx
