Beautifully written tribute to a man I believe you favor in many ways, including physically - based on the picture. I felt the respect and love you still have for your father and probably that has increased and grown over the years. Again, more than a '6', but that seems to be my best offer. I feel very nostalgic after reading this work. ann
I saw one tiny spag and I am not even sure of it!! "Second, I am going to become -- I don't think the quote marks are needed here as your dad's conversation is a continuation of the paragraph above. But I might me wrong!

Thank you for six stars, you honor me and my dad!!! I think you are supposed to use the quote marks like that when you start a new paragraph, but you don't close them in the previous paragraph, according to Sue Newell. Terry.

Hi Terry, that was a wonderful tribute to your late father. I can see he must have been quite the character. It's amazing he lived after being born three months early. But something you're obviously grateful for. I also liked his last poem. Thanks for sharing all this with us. Ulla:)))

Comment from John Ciarmello
I can't say enough, Terry. He seems a wonderful man, and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. This beautiful tribute and life events profile your dad as loving, caring, funny, and devoted to things and people that made him happy. Loved this, my friend.

Comment from Wayne Fowler
Very nice tribute to a Renaissance Man.
right now there are just handwritten. - they are?
I especially like 'A time of peace, too late for tears,'.
My father-in-law used to say, "It's hell to get old".
At 71, I can't say that ...yet. So far, so good. (But I think I'd let the bear catch me rather than run a hunnerd yards.)
Best wishes.

Terry,
This is a delightful insight into the character of your father. He was a very observant poet. Some notes follow.
Sue
He wants to compile all the poems he has written (he started when he was eight) right now there are just handwritten. -- you have three sentences here.
right now there are just handwritten. ==> they're or they are

You are welcome. They were really more proofreading than editing. :-)

A very nice tribute TB. He was a h... of a man. Hard to find copies of such people any longer. His last poem should be made known to the world,. With permission I'd like to copy and post on FB. If not, I will not. Tom

You have written a fine memorial for your Dad. Clearly he was an intelligent and curious man--with a sense of humor as well. It shows in your writing along with your love and respect.

Comment from Pam Lonsdale
Mr. Broxson sounds like a man who loved life and was curious about all things old and new. I wonder if this is because he almost died at birth and he just knows instinctively to not waste a minute.
Your dad's poem shows what a wicked sense of humor he had. And it shows that excellent writing can be passed to the next generation.
He would love what you've written here, you've honored him with this.
Happy Father's day.

A very well written tribute to your father. He was a man with strength and determination, as seen right from his birth, and also vision, as seen with his understanding of the future role of computers. He did a lot of fine work to help others too. I like the humour he shows in his last poem!
