I will pray for your healing. I didn't notice a single error. I feel maybe I missed something. Maybe your story line was so good that I was so intent on reading that I didn't notice any problems. That would be a good thing.

Thank you so much, Barbara, for this lovely review and all the stars! I was a bit worried there would be some hidden (from my bleary eyes) errors. If you didn't spot any, that's encouraging. I'm glad you thought it was a good chapter. Warm hugs, my friend. Sandra xx

If nothing else, this chapter demonstrates the recuperative power of a glass of brandy. It certainly imbued the solicitor with enough Dutch courage to face up to his supernatural accusers and leave us with an ongoing problem for Bessie and Margot.
You handled the supernatural violent sequences well despite or perhaps because of being in the grips of Covid. I do hope you will shake that lot off soon. I havemy second booster booked for tomorrow so I am hoping I will get away with a clean bill of health.

Absolutely, I might have to try a sip of two myself! Lol. I don't know whether it was the Covid or sheer luck that it came together okay.
Thanks so much for the golden sixth star, my friend, and the lovely review. Warm hugs, Sandra xxx
Did you phone in and book your booster? Graham hasn't heard anything, not that he can have it now that he has Covid, but I was wondering why he hadn't heard. I can't have it until after July, when I'll be 75. What an age to arrive at this early in my life!

Everything is different, devolved in Wales but they have been very good with Covid. The have aways instigated the contact and i have always had the chance to change the appoinment if not convenient but I never have.

I loved Bessie's shenanigans. I was thinking in my head it might be her, lol. (I think too much). I'm surprised that Margot revealed herself. With your mind and hers there has to be a reason. I'm excited for the next chapter. Oh, I loved the painting scene. :o Take soon, Sandra.

I don't have another six for you, so you will just have to imagine it. I hope you're feeling better today. You did a great job, and I am always wanting more. Take care of yourself. Shirley

It looks like this great trick they've played on the crooked lawyer, Bessie cleverly playing with the paper and with sundry objects around the office, terrifying the solicitor is still arrogant but not if Margot's got anything to do with it. But Bessie's a great character, an this is a great story, beautifully written, blessings Roy

This was quite a display the put on to scare the family lawyer. It seems Margot had a mind of her own and isn't waiting for help from Bessie. I'm think Meg father didn't really commit suicide, but was murdered. Whichever way you have decided to take this fascinating story, I'll be anxious to read it.

Margot is wondering how much of what happened to Lord Crawley is true, or is it a cover-up? Thank you, Beth, for your lovely review. I'm glad you enjoyed this part. Warm hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

-This was a big surprise, Sandra.
-You did a great job with the 'ghostly visit.'
-Bessie was a force to be reckoned with. I thought she was going to
clobber Cranston-Smythe with the portrait, but that came later!
-But C-S doesn't give in easily, and then Margot takes over, using all of the emotion built up inside her about the injustice that was done, and gives it to him with no holds barred!
-I like the ending section when Margot responds to Bessie by saying what will C-S say to Lord Brandon, that a woman looking like Margaret, along with Lord Crawley's ghost came to visit!
-I like the next piece of the puzzle at the end-"did Lord Crawley actually write that note?"
-Well done, my friend and hope you are doing better.
-I'm not sure about the cover yet, but will get back to you.
-One thing I noticed was this comment: Oh Meg, I do so hope you will find this 'memory' as exquisite as I do when you take over again.
*I don't know if it needs a tag or italics for what Margot is thinking.

Aw thank you, Pam, I wasn't sure about posting knowing there would probably be mistakes. I'm glad you liked it, and the ending. That part about his memory, it was supposed to be in italics, but it changed in the pasting. I've corrected that now, so that people will realise it's Margot's thoughts. Thank you, dear friend. And a big hug for the golden star! Love and hugs, Sandra xx

I don't know how I missed your reply. You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review. I'm glad the suggestion was helpful. Hope you are both doing better and have a good day!!!
