Thank you very much Amahra. Yeah it will be interesting (and tragic) to see how this situation develops; my European friends have pretty strong opinions all across the board on the situation. This was the first (and most adventurous) of several pieces I've written on the developing conflict.

I liked everything about this - from the picture (which certainly got my attention), to the colorful font, and, of course, the message. The stream of consciousness flow to it and your worldview combine to make this meaningful and thoughtful when the colors - at first - make it look like a "fun" piece.

Acrostic poetry is new to me - this is very clever. Good luck and I look forward to reading more.

Well I found it incredibly clever to write the ultimate acrostic of acrostics. Most of the ideas are right. many acrostics often fail to be impressive . anyway all the best for the contest.

The members of the EU didn't really think Putin would attack
Ukraine ..thought he was bluffing

personally I saw it coming

You don't move some 150,000 soldiers just to fake a war .. Putin wants to rebuild the old Russian empire ..

He doesn't want Russian soil ( Ukraine) to be contaminated by the West.

He called the leaders of Ukraine Nazi ,drug addicts ... I think he said Europe was evil like Satan.

He is against nations becoming one big family ( the EU) he wants to keep Russian soil uncontaminated and pure..

Just like Nostradamus predicted Russia will conquer Europe in due time ...

He will also tear down the Vatican ( that actually wouldn't be a bad thing )

I read that orthodox priests are even willing to tip off the police if someone talks ant Putin during confession. ( never believed in the confession box, anyway)


I never thought Putin's hatred was so deep... he had everyone fooled for years.

Thank you! Acrostics is just the plural form of "acrostic" so I just did a 2D acrostic on the root word. There are nine acrostics in total, as each line wraps around horizontally, and then the main one goes vertically on the first word of each line. I mostly drafted this in about an hour, and then spent a bunch more time tweaking it and figuring out the best colors and code to render it out properly. But balancing the satire was the trickiest part.

Yeah the history of Putin poisoning his political enemies should have given us fair warning that he'll stop at nothing to take out anything threatening his power. The idea of confessing at a confessional is crazy! Not something I grew up with. And I've seen a film or two where people get stabbed through the walls of a confessional so now I am paranoid.

For the sake of peace I hope this war results in lots of dead Russian soldiers as soon as possible.

Yes I didn?t count the obvious acrostic the one that actually count in the contest. The horizontal one.

I wasn?t counting on all the refugees Poland closed its borders ,, it had just began in December to build a 200 kilometres long , 5 1/2 meters high concrete wall to protect its borders after the November incident ..
on Thursday the first day of war 33.000 refugees entered .. experts say at least one million will come in the next weeks

Europe is doomed. .. there are still 3 million Afghan refugees on the move towards the Mediterranean coast after America pulled out last year.

Winter slowed them down but Spring is around the corner. ( sigh).

If we supply Ukraine with arms , the war will drag on .

Unfortunately Europe is far to involved dependent of Russia and China.

Italy alone get 33 % of its gas from Russia and Europe buys nearly all its grain from Russia .. China says it will buy it now ..

Putin remains me of a snake and Xi a big white and instead Biden just looks senile ..sorry but he just doesn?t look capable of stopping Putin..

And the EU is far too compromised to hit back how it should ?

A lot of people are suffering, dying just because of one damn bastard.

His own close collaborators are scared of him .. did you see the video of him in that white oval room how he was in command and made a top ranking business associate repeat his legions to Him .

Why can?t we just live in peace
