This is a beautiful prayer poem and I envy you your deep faith. I do pray, but sometimes wonder if I'm heard. This is a testimony to your enduring faith, thank you for sharing.

What beautiful prayer you have written, Roy.
"Lord, may the words my pen would write,
be as a stream of grace and light.
And may the spirit of my soul,
reflect the source that make men whole."
The Lord has given us the gift to write and our prayer is that each word will be a blessing to those who read.

I'm guessing from your poem that God came to you in your hour of need. Someone you loved had died and you had fallen into darkness, been swallowed whole by it. His light, love and beauty pulled you back from the brink and you were born again so to speak Roy ?
To know without doubt, without question that He is the truth, the way, the answer... few can say that I believe my friend. You are a very lucky man : ))

Outstanding writing, my friend! :)
Wow... I absolutely love this one. You really poured your heart into this. The last part is my favorite. It brings back memories for me when I was saved.
He saved me from death's dark despair,
replaced it with His grace and care.
He gave me hope when all seemed lost,
from death by faith, life's stream I've crossed.
Thank you for sharing.
Always your fan,
Shana :)

Such grace and holy touch. I love your work, it is infused with the love and peace of the Holy Spirit that I think flows through your hands as you write. May He keep you safe for us that we may enjoy and profit from you wisdom.

Lord, may I know where dreams are bound,
and let me hear hope's wisdom sound.
I cannot live outside of hope,
without your love I would not cope.
This stanza really spoke to me today. Once again you knew what I needed to read. Thank you for sharing your God given wisdom.

That's a very nice prayer, Roy. I know this is picky picky, but I would put a comma after "in my darkness" in the second stanza. Your love of God really comes through in this poem.
