Poets...

Roy, this is a beautiful Ballad that sounds wonderful when I read it outloud. I also believe it's a gift from God, the artist's hand is an extension of divine creativity. I share my art for free. I paint and I write poems. You have a especial gift, thank you very much for sharing.

Great writing my friend :) I believe you said it true. God gives us each our own gift. Just as yours gives us light and inspiration, others hold some other special meaning.
This is my favorite part;
Deep in the canyons of the mind
that screams for sweet release,
I can't contain that precious brew
a tide that cannot cease.
That is exactly how I feel. Thank you for sharing.
Always your fan,
Shana :)

Again perfection Roy the words are full of meaning, full of teaching. Full of His message if we open our senses and see and hear.
You have a wonderful gift, Roy share it with His world. Sincerely Anne.

I always look forward to your written words. They have beauty, intelligence, and most of all a deep-seated faith in God. A faith that is grounded and presented not with a bullhorn, but as a gentle word of persuasion.
This writing is magnificent as it tells us that the poet's talent is a gift from God, and the beauty of the pen and thought should be shared.
Blessings Roy.
Mary

This is a beautiful tribute to everyone who loves to read/read poetry. I started at a very young age and so did my daughter with no prodding from me whatsoever. I think it's just something within.

I too believe that the ability to write is a gift from God, which--like most other gifts--can be used well or misused. You have used an appealing range of figures of speech.

It's always a pleasure to read and enjoy your eloquent displays of words in rhythmic forms of poetry. But that they are written by a man who obviously lives according to Biblical teachings and serves as he spreads the gospel of Jesus Christ makes them a blessing to read. Thank you, Roy, for sharing.

"I know not where winds may blow
as passion dwells within.
But I know this, that I will write
that truth is next of kin."

This is my favourite stanza.

Recently on social media, I read an author's comment on how disappointed she was her books weren't selling as she like. She's thinking of giving up on writing. Most of the answers to her post were, you don't write for fame or fortune, but because you love writing.

Writers write to share their stories.

I admire the way you churn out such beautiful poetry from your scribal cauldron regularly. You are a true writer.

Lisa.

I resonated with your well formed and rhymed work. Your description fits waht i have always found to be the case in words that emonstrate you thesis. Yes, I beliee that we recieve gifts (which sometimes feel lke curses) and have obligations to them--callings, if you will.

Roy,

It's always good to see your posts. They are thoughtful and cause me to pause and think about things for a minute. They help me focus on the important things - and not just the frivolous nonsense my stuff is always about. Thanks, friend!
