Hi Jesse, you are touching the surface of a very big issue here. What is to be fair and treat everyone fair. You come from a multi ethnical kettle of fish. Do you treat everybody fair and equal? I say no more. I loved your input, which raise a lot of questions. Ulla:)))

Maybe you could retitle it "Forgiveness Favorites" ?
I get what you are saying and so much emotion is involved with forgiveness as we can't forgive fully like God can. I fear that this climate of unforgiveness has seemed into our national identity and history. Now the wronged want to rewrite history and continue that unforgiveness so we can't move forward to work together.

Thank you for your interesting commentary and your suggestion of a way to retitle my post. I will take your suggestion under consideration but, I am actually getting good feedback about the title the way it is. I am glad this resonated with you, and get what I am saying. I appreciate the excellent review and rating, Helen, very much.
Take care and have a nice rest of your week,
Jesse

Hello Jesse,
One of your best pieces of prose! I, too, wonder about the dichotomy of fairness when it comes to "playing favorites." Or should I say the "dichotomy of hypocrisy" when playing favorities - especial in the political and societal realms of our country today. Mind-boggling.
One suggestion, if I may:
Your first sentence would be more powerful if you omit, "I wonder" as the reader knows you are taking ownership for this offering:
"Why is there inequality of forgiveness?"
Thank you for sharing!

(And I am still wondering... :) )

Hello Diane! Thank you so kindly for the marvelous six stars! You were my first review so, I started it out with a bang! You have really made my day, and to top it off, you gave me the best advice yet!
I have now, after reading this, made my edit, and it makes more sense, and it is much clearer! I appreciate your kind words and your understanding of the dichotomy of fairness when playing favorites!
Have a wonderful week, my friend,
Jesse
