I believe she will want to tell her story and learn what ever she can about why Her Tom took the blame for Hettie's condition, or does she already know. Anyhow what harm can it do twenty years alter with most of the people already dead. I hope she agrees because inquiring minds need to know. LOL Well done, Jim. Nancy:)

Some events are best left until the furore has died down and some are best buried forever. We shall shortly see which applies here. Many thanks for your continued interest and kind review.

So Tommy Bache is considering Peter Allen's proposal of informing him of the events happening around the death of Hettie, and the information about the life of Tom Warburton, trying to work out about the reasons why Tom Warburton's heroic death, and the reason why perhaps Tom had little to live for. Investigating the reasons for a willingness to die, that wasn't normal, well done, great episode, blessings Roy

Good job

Captivating--brilliant rendering of "talking-to-self" monologue, in which you skillfully incorporate bits of backstory. Meticulous depiction of all aspects of scene. I'll be back.

Many thanks for this review, especially for pointing outt the tautology. it could hardly be one without the other.

I love this kitchen scene and the conversation between Heather and Tommy. Very realistic, and I'm enjoying the dialect particularly. Very good imagery, like being in the kitchen with them.

I really appreciate the final sentence of your review. Clearly I have fulfilled my aim. Many thanks for that and the six stars.

I do hope Heather knows that Hettie's pregnancy and death had nothing to do with My Tom. I'd be really upset if she doesn't. I knew she loved him as much as he loved her. Such a shame what happened to his sheep which put paid to his dream of marrying her. I'll have to wait until Wednesday to find out if she speaks to Peter. I like the way you are writing this, Jim, I'm getting all the information I wanted at the end of the first book, but drawn out from different perspectives. No one really know My Tom as well as I did!!! Not even Heather. It's a shame she didn't know that he had feelings for her. Another great chapter, Jim. You'll definitely be the number one novelist this year. :)) Sandra xxx

Many thanks for the six star review here. I am so pleased you are continuing to enjoy this one. True it does seem to be creeping up the ranking and, with Book 3 still to come I think I have enough material to keep going to the end of the year. This episode seems to have gone viral very quickly.
-
I do so hope you get and stay at number one! There is no reason why you shouldn't. You'll overtake me soon, which you thoroughly deserve to. This series is the best on here. You should be really proud. I've noticed how well it's being received and can't say I'm surprised.
I'm going to take a bit of time off from writing novels once this book is finished, and do some poetry for a while. I have some young children's poetry books to write. Now, don't let me down, I want My Tom to be cleared of Hettie's misfortune!

Thanks for these good wishes. My first novel, 'A Reluctant Star' is now an Amazon paperback and there is a link to it in my profile here on FS. I am currently working to put Book1 of this trilogy 'Maid of the Mill' on there and Books 2 and 3 will follow in due course. That should take me right up to the end of this year. But the top spot will depend on the bogeyman and his cronies Lol.
Then I shall probably take time out too. How are the shingles?
-
I agree about the top spot. I boils my blood. How can you get satisfaction by cheating? The way you have captured your audience now, I can't see any reason why you won't go top. Just think about it, at 30-35 reviews a part, that's 60 - 70 reviews a week! You're doing well. :)) Shingles are getting better but the painful ones are still playing up. They are the ones that keep getting rubbed and there is nothing I can do to stop it. I don't know if I told you that they'd spread up my side, and it's almost impossible to stop your arm hitting them. My waist is improving though. I'll be banging on my doctor's door when they've cleared up for the anti-shingles jab. They are offering it to everyone now. I wish I'd known about it earlier. :(
-
It seems there is a jab for everything these days. I had my first Corona one over a week ago now.

You are quite intelligent and knowledgeable, and it shows in your writing. Well done. I love your dialogue and the way people speak, I have a hard time with formatting accents into conversation. Good luck, I believe I'll have to get to the rest of this sometime soon!

Thank you you so much for this complimentary review. Accents can trip one up so easily. Some say you should never attempt to write them. Naturally I disagree, but you have to be careful to avoid the dropped initial 'h' and final 'g'. That route can lead you to getting lost in a snowstorm of apostrophes.
