What a beautiful tribute to one of your admired writers. I don't know if I have ever read any of her poetry but how would I go to her page to read them? JoanE page?

It is so sad when we lose a poem. I have read some of her poems. It was good to find a poet who shared my name. She was one of many who will be missed for her works and reviews.
Keep writing and stay healthy

Thanks for the review, Joan. It is sad when we lose a member of our writing community. She always reviewed those who reviewed her and was very kind and talented.

Pam a very poignant tribute to JoanE. This represents all the GOOD aspects of being a part of a group,of people who support one another over many years and through the words shared by each become family.

Thanks for the review, Jim. I appreciate your comments about the tribute and the good aspects of being part of this group. We do have a way of coming together to support one another, and you don't find that everywhere.

Pam. This is a beautiful tribute and beautiful poem you've written to the memory of Joan. If she can read it, from wherever she is, she will be delighted.
I'm so sorry you were so close to each other, when she was in Philadelphia, yet you didn't manage to meet up.
I hope her family will read your poem. It is so very touching. I only got to know her in the last couple of years, but I'm glad I did. Ulla xx

Thank you for the exceptional rating and review, Ulla. I appreciate your comments about the tribute, and I agree that she would like to read all of these tributes, too. She probably knows about them before we do! I think Helen plans to give the family the book somehow.

Hello Pam,
A beautiful poem and tribute to Joan E. who was one the lights on fanstory.
Her positive approach in poetry, reviews and life is a model for all.
I like your beginning reference to Emily Dickinson's poem of hope,
then moving through some of the things she loved: art, theater,
travel, trains, and of course, poetry.
Marvelous art work choice and presentation.
She will be missed.
Best wishes to all.
Robert

Thank you for sharing this lovely tribute to Joan. I discovered yesterday that she'd passed. I knew she was in a coma. I know it's hard on everybody. I am praying for her family and for her friends.

This is a beautiful tribute to your fellow writer. I wish I had known of her and read her work, now it's too late. I'm glad many are acknowledging her, I know she's aware of it. Thanks for sharing. :)

What an outstanding tribute to someone who obviously touched her heart, soul and mind. You were blessed and I am sure she felt she was too. it's comforting to know that in this "crazy" world of ours, some people still feel the strong connections and hold them dear. Smiles to you!

Good Morning, Pam,
A lovely and fitting tribute to a dear friend and fellow writer. I am afraid that I did not know Joan well, but it is evident that she was a loving and nurturing friend whose life and writing positively impacted all who knew her. Simply beautiful ... and so very poignant.
Thank you for sharing!

A lovely tribute to your friend, obviously a treasured soul here on FanStory. I never had the pleasure but it's apparent through your words and the words of many others that she--and her work--was loved by so many. Thanks for sharing.
