What a beautiful tribute to one of your admired writers. I don't know if I have ever read any of her poetry but how would I go to her page to read them? JoanE page?

It is so sad when we lose a poem. I have read some of her poems. It was good to find a poet who shared my name. She was one of many who will be missed for her works and reviews.

Pam. This is a beautiful tribute and beautiful poem you've written to the memory of Joan. If she can read it, from wherever she is, she will be delighted.
I'm so sorry you were so close to each other, when she was in Philadelphia, yet you didn't manage to meet up.
I hope her family will read your poem. It is so very touching. I only got to know her in the last couple of years, but I'm glad I did. Ulla xx

A beautiful poem and tribute to Joan E. who was one the lights on fanstory.
Her positive approach in poetry, reviews and life is a model for all.
I like your beginning reference to Emily Dickinson's poem of hope,
then moving through some of the things she loved: art, theater,
travel, trains, and of course, poetry.
Marvelous art work choice and presentation.
She will be missed.

I am glad you liked the Emily Dickinson reference and some of the things she loved, along with the art and presentation. She will be missed.

Thank you for sharing this lovely tribute to Joan. I discovered yesterday that she'd passed. I knew she was in a coma. I know it's hard on everybody. I am praying for her family and for her friends.
