Well, this post just gives me more questions. I am sure Tom W had a death wish because he was broken hearted over Heather. I am at least guessing. I am not sure how the 'neck' enters in. I can't wait to find out.

Many thanks for continuing your supportive reviews into this second chapter of the sequel. The 'neck' refers to an incident early in Book 1 after the Joliffes had moved to Jericho.

It is a shame that Tom Warburton lost his life and in fact sacrificed his life to save others, he was a brave soldier and all his hopes of a future where dashes long before he joined the army. Your story is of course very well written and you are slowly drawing us into the new characters and their personalities, much enjoyed, love Dolly x
