This is a fun entry to the how do you write your poetry contest. I usually will wait for the contests to give me an idea on what to write lol. Good work and thanks for sharing, best of luck, later daze.

Thanks so much......I am a fan of Knick Knack verse.....not as elegant as many I have read....there are some terrific, serious writers in these groups..I am just more loosey goosey......Godspeed and Best Wishes

Well, I gotta tell ya, Mystery Poet: this is a hoot!! :) Absolutely loved your sense of rhythm and levity mixed with surprises and stars and perhaps a ne'er-do-well (or two)... LOL!! ;) Thanx for sharing and unless there's a more entertaining submission out there, you've got my vote! ;) Thanx for sharing! ;)

I really enjoyed this poem. I love the references to others and the rhythm and sing-songy feel to it. The poem spoke to reality in a fun way. Truly enjoyable piece of work. :)

This poem is an interesting interpretation of the contest requirements. The poem is upbeat and the speaker is spunky. The piece has a bit of a country style to it. I, too, am a fan of Dorothy Parker.

This is a very clever and creative poem that we thoroughly enjoyed reading. The rhyming is interesting, but really good. I'm not familiar with the names that you reference are they personal references or members of Fanstory? Best of luck in the contest.

Now this, my friend, is some fun writing! I love it because I can identify with it. Verses, quotes and sonnets hidden well within the lines. Great job!

This poem, Ollie Nubs and the Chickees, presents a condensed history of poetic and lyrical influences which are eclectic to say the least.

This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.
