A very well-written poem about the wonders around us that constantly remind us of our savior and His presence in our lives. We can find Him in the golden flower or the Autumn Maple tree.

This poem, Behold and Then Be, deftly waves the gold, red, and purple colors to signify the life of Jesus and the call for us to make known His sacrifice and grace for the world. Nice.

A hymn of praise disguised somewhat and presented in the short lines normally associated with free verse. But this is mainly a sequence of iambic heptameters as far as the rhythm of the piece. There is one variation from that however. Half way through the second stanza the measure alters to trochaic where the line begins 'Know he numbers every tear', reverting to the iambic again with 'and names each fallen leaf.'

Strong overtones of faith fuel this fine poem. Excellent flow and well timed rhymes. Good phonics in phrasing. One spag nit;
and know
He's up
in heaven,
Since Heaven is a proper noun (a place) it should be capped:
and know
He's up
in Heaven,
Favorite part:
Know He numbers
every tear,
and names
each fallen leaf,
and since we are
much more
than these,
He's gifted
us relief.
This will certainly likely appeal to your readers who love Jesus.
Blessings,
rd

Enjoy your use of color words as well as color in the presentation. Always enjoy Christian pieces that point the way to our Lord. Thanks! Looking forward to reading more...

You know, I don't normally review or read spiritual poetry. They are too hard and personal for me to normally review. But, I started reading this and found myself, understanding remember the stories.
I was very good.

I'm with you, I generally dislike spiritual poetry, and have never really written it before. I am very flattered by your kind review, and if nothing else, I feel like I've done what I set out to do with it. Thanks so much!

Well said. You have done a good in weaving God's attributes in simple, yet profound way. You touched on creation, His sovereignty, salvation through the cross and reminded us that we have a caring, loving God. Thanks for posting. Blessings.

Some important reflections contained within the words and rhythms of this beautiful poem, that speaks of color entwined with tenets of Faith -some very striking imagery
