I finally guessed one right. They're fascinating little creatures. The scientists tried putting the mimic octopus on colored squares, as well as black and white squares. It was able to mimic both. The only thing I see wrong is the first line. It should be 'Each octopus has eight limbs.' Has and got don't belong together. It's one of the most common mistakes in the English language.

Hi Cindy, thank you so much for your lovely review, and, yes, you did get this one right. What do you think P will be? :))
I was most interested in your remark about , has and got, and you are totally correct. Because of the syllable count and flow, it now reads.... Each octopus has eight long limbs...
I then went into Google to check out other versions of it, ie, not in poetry. Apparently, we Brits, have different grammar rules to the American, not in a wildly different way, but just the way we shape our sentences. Apart from that, it showed how taking one verb out, changed the sentence completely. ie: She's got a dog (she has got a dog) without the 'got' it would be, She's a dog...
You have really started me off now, I'll be checking everything I write and everyone else writes!! Be warned!!! LOL!! I loved this review, thank you so much, Cindy. Have a wonderful day, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Haha, but I think 'she's got a dog' should be 'she has a dog.' Otherwise it's a contraction for 'she has got.'

    I'm guessing P is penguin.

I had figured I was too old to learn much, but every chapter I learn something interesting to file away in my memory back. Thanks for sharing another great chapter.

Ha, ha, ha very clever story with lots of scientific facts and a little dose of your humor now and then:"The smaller ones will find the most obscure places to live in, even bottles that humans have kindly thrown into the sea. Not having bones, octopuses can squeeze through the narrowest gaps, and fold themselves into the smallest crevices." Thank you for sharing and good luck with the next letter.

The poem about the octopus is delightful. Nice rhymes and a consistent meter. The information for parents and teachers is detailed and interesting. The film was too much for me, but it does reflect your very thorough research.
The plural of octopus is octopuses or (less usual) octopodes.
Your U.K English is just fine.

Thank you, Mary, for this lovely review. I'm glad you thought my UK English was just fine, Lol. I'd be in trouble if it wasn't. I have to put that in because we spell certain words differently to you, and some have completely different meanings. That's something I love on here, we're all different. Thank again, Mary, have a nice day. :)) Sandra xx

This is quite an unusual creature. You related many facts I never knew about the octopus or squid. I saw where the Alaskan's were searching cave like cavities at the shores edge looking for Octopus to eat! Ugh. Not me. Interesting. Well done, Sandra. Nancy:)

No, I just couldn't even touch octopus, let alone eat it! Now I know more about it, I most definitely won't be. Thanks, Nancy, for another nice review, my friend. Big hugs, Sandra xxx

Hi Sandra,

Just WOW! I had no idea... I don't live near a beach, so I'm not so up on ocean creatures. Who knew they "drill" into shells? Or that they are poisonous? :-0 This is exceptionally well written, images are great, and the information you provided is superb. I love learning! Thanks for sharing with us! :-)

Heh! Heh! I guessed it again. Octopus, your presentation is obviously carefully researched and well presented. Of the highest quality and interesting. I didn't realise they were poisonous. Keep up the good work. Keep safe. ~Mel~ xx

Thank you so very much for the six stars, Mel, and this lovely review. I didn't know about the poisoning, either, they truly are interesting creatures, but I've decided they are not ones that I would seek out!! Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I'm so glad you posted this! I was wondering when the next letter was coming out. :)
SO interesting but nothing to actually suggest you do to improve it... Makes my job far too easy. :)
And maybe they're not endangered, except by their mates! Great poem, great fun facts. Many of them surprised me.
Blessings and thank you again!
Deb

I didn't realize they had blue blood and three hearts! Your grandson (and us) are learning a lot. I did enjoy the video... amazing creatures. Walking on land, they look so slimy. Seeing it hunt the crab was really something!

I was surprised to learn how adaptable they are at hiding! I wish sometimes I could find a hole to fall into, but that's as far as I could go even if there was a hole big enough! lol. Thank you, Margaret, for another lovely review. Have a great day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx
