That is one of the most delightful stories I have ever read or heard. There can be no further doubt, girls are definitely smarter than boys. I was amazed at how deftly your daughter Katie, made Adam feel foolish wit the simple logical statement: "She may adore you, but she loves me." Bam! Over and done. Poor Adam never had a chance.

This is a good humorous entry for the True Story Flash contest. Squabbling kids are enjoyable to be around if you are looking for a story. Their arguments sometimes are too good to be true!

That's kids for you. Thankfully, I think mine know I have no favorite. Each is favorite in his own way. I always signed cards to my mother, 'Your favorite child.' I'm an only child. hahahaha

I was the youngest of six so I was the favorite, according to me.

This reminds me of the Smothers brothers with their "Mom always loved you best" routine. It's funny this goes on with your sons even though they're in their 30s. That's a tough thing to put on a mother. It sounds like she was trying to be diplomatic with her "love" and "adore." The children couldn't seem to let it go. Great dialogue, and best of luck ihe the contest. judi

Bill, This is a very cute story about your kids and they all say they are the favorite child. This is too cute and I know how that feels as our sons do that with me too. You used very good and cute words and very cute imagery from the card imagery you chose. Best wishes in the contest. Blessings Teri

This is a very cute little story. I can see the kids sitting on either side of their mother making faces back and forth. I have two kids myself that are grown and so I know how it goes.

Yes, there's a friendly rivalry between my daughters, one says "I'm the daughter, and your the other daughter," the."other" daughter says the the same thing, but I think it's true, they do compete, the elder one is now 40, the younger not far behind. You'd think they'd learn, heh heh. Well done Bill, good entry, good luck, blessings Roy
