It is amazing how we can become attached to various objects. Seems as if Molly has performed very well for you. Now comes the time to say good by.
Good one Sankey.

Bro Ben I wish we could repair her faed old coat. She does not look as good these days as the pictures taken in much earlier times. Thanks for your lovely review.
-
I know you probably won't get a reward but a second verse has now been added if you care to look.
-
Yes , I see nothing wrong with addition
-
Thanks for checking it out. Some had suggested maybe a repair so great we can do that.

The sands of time were ever thus! Poor Molly. Not only a faithful door stopper but a poet's muse! It sounds as though she'd be worth stitching up. It's wonderful what modern surgery can do to prolong life.

Yeah well after 34 years (we got her before our wedding) she is pretty faded. It would be nice if our embroiderer stitcher friend would fix her coat. Thanks mate.

Glad to see a happy ending for Molly or, rather, a new beginning!

We'll need to get a look at the new Molly duds once she's redone. Oh I am typing now to fill this line. I could probably say something good about your addition to the poem. Hey! Good job!

This is an original--verse about a deceased door stopper. Amusing footnote re gently to the feet no brick in butt. Whimsical verse--condolences on your loss. Cheers. LIZ

Awww thanks Liz for the sympathy. She really was part of the family. Just so sorry I have not been able to get in touch with the lady who made her all those years ago.

Wonderful! So glad Molly was resurrected. Cheers. LIZ

Got an idea. Take Molly to a seamstress and have her weak parts replaced with new material or a new dress made with sewn on underwear. She's probably leaking from the bottom.

Hi Rebecca, you are probably right and I am sure she is repairable. Her coat is much faded unlike the picture s taken bacxk in her "younger" days. Thanks for the lovely review.
-
You're quite welcome.
I seldom throw things away especially if they have been with me forever. I repair them.
-
Yeah well I still hope we can do that. Thanks for the encouragement.
