This is hilarious and funny. A very creative piece of poetry. I have enjoyed reading it. Excellent work! No grammatical errors. Nice work. Thanks for sharing! Good work.

Thank you, but not funny, I'm afraid - unless 100,000 deaths tickle your funny bone.

Oh, to live in such isolation and privilege - is really amazing. Imagine a world with no worries like rent or grocery store prices or traffic or the PANDEMIC - imagine a world where the stock market takes precedence over death.

I suspect money takes precedence over everything in that family.

    Thanks for stopping by.

It is amazing how one family can see all the wrong things whenever they tweet or speak. This family lacks any empathy or compassion for our countrymen as we deal with the financial crisis that this pandemic has brought on!

100 K deaths do not compare in any manner with a rise or fall of the Dow by 100 points.

Thanks, Mark. I have heard the term 'tone deaf' used a fair bit lately and I think we could honestly apply it to this comment and to his father's refusal to comment at all about the tragic milestone.

The selfishness of powerful ruling families, enriched to the detriment of the working class and abuse of power is abominable in their arrogance and contempt for their own people ruled today. ..and this is the clearest example and demonstration of your election results! God is Great! He will provide serious losses like all the poor families affected by Covid - 19 for which they have not spent a single word.

Thank you for the thoughtful comments.

I would say 'power corrupts' but I suspect this family was corrupt before they even rose to political power.

Ouch! We can clearly see where his priorities are. So many politicians seem to be worried more about the pocketbook than lives. I would rather my family and I were around to struggle than leave a bunch of money. After all, what do you leave behind? All of it.
Concise and to the point. Well said.

    Thank you!

I am sure many of the families of those 100,000 people would gladly give away all their wealth to have their loved ones back with them.

Great Day!

Hello my friend,

Eric takes after his father. They are so selfish and ignorant. Your little poem 6/4/5 syllable count. You managed to express so much in 12 words. Well done my friend.

I really liked this. The contrast between the tweet and the goings on in the world is very stark. You have done a great job explaining all of that in very few words.

    Thanks, Amanda.

Who gets excited by shares going up when 100,000 of your countrymen and women are dead?

I'm not quite sure what the "Dow" is, as I'm not American myself, but I think you made an observable point. It's horrific that many are dying and people higher up think it's funny to joke and take advantage of it. American politics is very messed up.

    Thank you.

The Dow is one measure of how well the stockmarket is doing. Only a truly callous person could get excited by that on the day when the Coronavirus death toll surpassed 100,000 in America.

I understand your point here, but unfortunately many people in the US are dying from the shelter in place, by abusive spouses, unemployment fears, suicide, heart attacks at home because of fear of going to the hospital. I don't if there's an answer or not. Thank you for sharing.

    Thanks, Barbara.

You may have missed the point of my post. How can anyone get excited about how well the stockmarket is doing on a day when the death toll surpassed 100,000?

I agree: this is outrageous! Just another example of the utter selfishness of this family. Not a word of recognition of the fear, the pain, the suffering, of the poor American victims of the Covid-19 pandemic. No compassion whatsoever. They are despicable egocentric people, not worth leading a Nation that needs urgently strong and capable hands to survive.
