Thanks for your kindness and love you have for your grandson, Eric, not many get to be the hero in a famous author's story. I hope it helps him. As you may or may not know, I had a dyslexic close friend who could read the bible but little else. Beautifully written Sandra, well done, blessings, Roy

I think that is incredible that your friend could read the Bible and not much else. The Bible has so many difficult words in it for a dyslexic person to manage, he truly must have had God's hand guiding him. What a wonderful thing! Thank you so much for sharing your story and for this lovely review, Roy. I do appreciate you a lot, my friend. Take care, and please stay safe. :)) Sandra xx

He's not the only one, there is another dyslexic, he likewise is the same, both with complete revelation. God is truly just

This is an interesting piece. I didn't realize their brains were so little. With the large bodies, I just assumed it'd be big. Now I'm wondering how big an elephant's brain is. Nicely done.

Thank you so much for reading my letter D, Misty, I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. Your question about the elephants brain had me intrigued. This is what I found out.

It's about 4 times the size of humans, but in ratio, humans are bigger. Then I checked the ant's brain. Just thank the Lord they are so tiny. They are the most intelligent insect on Earth and would most probably be more intelligent the us if they were our size!
To compare them, the brain must have been the last thing that was developed when the dinosaur was around, and only grew as we became more inquisitive. Most interesting!
Thanks again, my friend, have a lovely day, but stay safe. :)) Sandra xxx

That is very interesting. I too did some research it was very interesting. Some was shocking. My dog's brain is the size of a lemon (they're large dogs) and my cat's is just over an inch. Like the dinosaur, I thought they'd be much bigger than that. hmm.

Once you get into this researching lark, you can't stop! lol. I'm sure if
cats could read they would be most upset being told their brain is smaller than that of a dog! lol. xx

I love to research things. My google home is a godsend. Well most of the time lol. I sometimes get aggravated trying to figure out how to word something. Often hearing I'm sorry I can't help with that. grrr. I'm sure a cat would argue they know how to use their brain where a dog doesn't.

I'm with you on the Google home, I get that a lot, and have to think of different ways to ask the question. I thought the computers were supposed to be brainier that we are!!
reply by Mistydawn on 29-Apr-2020
Guess they're programed to speak AI and not humanese lol.
One time I casted moaning sounds from my computer to it, in the front room. Scared my son to death, lol. Do bird sounds for my dogs it drives them nuts. Had them howling with a wolf once. I come up with all kinds of ornery things when I'm bored.

Hmm, I'm beginning to wonder about you!! LOL, you are such a fun person, shame your dog and son don't agree!!! lol.

My son deserved it. He put a rubber snake in my bed. He should know by now mom don't get mad she gets even. He's just lucky I couldn't figure out my original plan, how to cast a scene from the Grudge to the TV. My entire family is pranksters' always trying to one up the other. They didn't get that from me, lol.

Your poem and the accompanying explanatory prose section are excellent,
vividly descriptive and informative. You are taking great steps to help your grandson learn!

This is really delightful, Sandra! And I'm looking forward to when you publish it. I like your information in your poem and prose notes!
I'm looking for ways for my youngest granddaughter to pick up on reading. The older two were reading by five and my own kids reading before four. It's almost expected in Kindergarten these days with elementary students typing reports on computers.

Thank you so much for your really lovely comments, Helen! I can understand you trying to find ways to help your granddaughter, we hate to see them struggle. Eric was so frustrated watching all his classmates move ahead of him, in fact leaving him way back in his reading. It wasn't until after his parents found a school for children with learning difficulties, that he revealed how other children called him a dumb idiot. That broke my heart, and Chris and Sue's. Now he's at a school that specialises in dyslexia, he is a different lad. Two years ago, he asked me if I would write a book about him, having him as a hero. I know where that came from, now. That was when I began writing, Eric's Epic Adventures, and his school has copies of the books. I want to make this project as good as I can so the the school will accept it as well. I hope you can find a way to help your granddaughter. It was truly wonderful to see the smile on Eric's face when I presented him with his first book. Take care, my friend, and have a wonderful day. :)) Sandra xx

Thanks for sharing that, Sandra! Kudos to you and super hero Eric! It takes heroism to overcome that kind of experience.

Haha bones of giant humans. That would be weird. I enjoyed your Dd chapter, Sandra. I like the pictures interspersed with the text. Your poem reads well and seems to be as much as young kids would attack. The facts shared were interesting and well-researched. Thanks for sharing.

Respectfully, Jan

Thank you so very much for your lovely review, Jan. I had to laugh when I read they thought the bones could be from giant humans. I think there must have been a few humans around a few years ago who also had brains the size of peas! LOL. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

I'm a big meat eater, but I can't say it's helped much, lol. A snooker ball? I was surprised you didn't know that, but Graham said you'd know it as pool. I don't even know if I've spelt that right. Snooker has a larger table and uses more balls. It's really populour here.
I added some more pictures of dinos for Noah and Eric, :)) But Graham's still had to be on top, LOL he is so chuffed. Honestly, do boys ever grow up? LOL. Thank you so much, my sweet friend, for the lovely six stars and your wonderful review, love you loads, and you stay safe too!!! Big hugs for you, Noah and everyone else. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sandra xxx

Hello Sandra. First I would like to say, I like your husband's dinosaur drawing better. :-))) I guess I'm going to start making all of my own graphics for my posts. I can't draw water.
I like the neat little poem with its rhyme and meter in the middle of the story.

Robert

I told Graham you liked his dinosaur. I think he's a cute Dino, too. :)) I'll watch out for your graphics! Try matchstick men, that's my limit, and even they look odd. Thank you for this really lovely review, my friend. I do appreciate you. :)) Sandra xxx

Some interesting facts on dinosaurs. My grandkids went out yesterday in the cold ditch water and collected some frogs and tadpoles. Science class you see. Ha, ha!
The world is an amazing place. I hope your grandkids enjoy the work you are putting out for them. I'm sure they will. Stay safe friend!

I know you are doing ABC but does he help you chose which animal to use in that group of alphabet animals? Nicely done using present as well as past and who does not like a dinosaur

This is yet another informative chapter in your amazing animals saga. I may have said it before, but, I've always loved animals even as a young lad. I'm enjoying reading these Sandra. Thanks for sharing this well written work. Well done!
