This is a well-written poem for the fifteen syllable poem contest. You have offered a unique yet true aspect of forgiveness. It sure does give you strength.
Great job! Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful day.

Thanx so much, Dancemom, for your review here... forgiveness is one of those two-edged swords that cuts the bonds of both parties, yeah? Think the world could use a whole lot more of it rather than the 'live in vengeance' mode of social media... sigh. Have a Wonderful Wednesday!! ;) ;) Yvette

In so few words you have summed up forgiveness, with the strength it can supply, the courage to continue it allows, the vision to improve, and that mistakes are not our end, not much more to say-"exceptional" best wishes for your contest****kahpot

A thought provoking write, Yvette. Almost oriental in its cryptic wisdom, Confucius says...
An alliterative title and absolutely stunning artwork complete the package.
I believe this one's going places. Good luck.

This was a very beautiful poem, my friend! I love the thought of using the wings to soar in the sky, rather than using them as a shield. Very nicely done! X

-Nice artwork and
presentation.
-The syllable count is good,
along with the topic
and imagery.
-The personification
is effective, as well as
repetition of the 's' sound.
-I like the positive message, too.
-Good luck in the contest.

Thanx so much, Pam, for your review this morning -- always so wonderful to hear from you and enjoy that bright orange sunshine your pic delivers! :) Have a Terrific Tuesday!! ;) ;) Yvette

You are very welcome, Yvette. I thought it was a blind contest so I didn't put your name on it. You have a great day, too! It has been raining here for a couple of days with temperatures in the 40's and 50's.
-
Here, too, Pam... supposed to continue through Thursday some time...then the temps will plummet into the 20's again! Like they always say: Gotta love the South, if you don't like the weather one day just hang around... it'll be different tomorrow - LOL!! ;) Stay warm and dry! ;)
-
I used to follow the weather all the time, and as I get older, I lose track so I just focus on the day and what I need to wear-for a cold day, a warm day, or if we lose electric, which also happened in the last two weeks:)

The beauty of these words is that the freedom to soar applies both to the one forgiving and the one being forgiven. Without dead weight we can fly to the moon and back!

Wonderful 15 sylable poem, Yvette. Some people find it difficult and arre too proud to forgive. They carry it a lifetime with them sometimes. So just forgive and feel free. Nobody is perfect. Wonderful presentation. Love it!!

I like your poem! I like how it feels thinking of forgiveness not shelter but the freedom to fly. When we are in a great mood, our souls want to soar deep and wide. But if we feel sad, like not forgiven for something we've done, then I wouldn't want to go out flying free. I hope that makes sense!
Luv!
