I liked it. you had a great use of form here, as the lines grow shorter and shorter the emotions seem to get tighter and tighter. Also I liked this simple yet poignant image of the daffodil cuttings, and how they symbolized the moments you remembered of your mom. I think it's a powerful image. estory

I love this form. The simplicity allows the essence and emotion to shine through, and center aligned it does present so beautifully on the page!
A lovely entry for a nonet contest. Good luck to you!--Karenina

I enjoyed your Nonet poem. I like the way the shape created by the text somewhat mirrored the blue vase, much as your words reflected - to the reader - the memory of you mother. Well done, God Bless you.

What a lovely, moving poem! You have used a vividly descriptive blend of literal and figurative language to convey a message of love for your mother and her memory.

Your nonet is beautiful and such a fine tribute to your mother. I enjoyed reading it. Great job with the prompt--correct syllables per line, beautiful picture, and a heart-felt message. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jan

Lovely. The photo, the poem, the feelings the piece inspires. I am only hoping some of the tears are tears of joy as well as sadness. This is beautiful and should not be altered in any way. Absolute perfection.

I'm not a flower person but I can see how this would hit you hard. Especially, if it was her favorite flower or color or both. Big hugs my friend, she's always with you.

This is a tender tribute to obviously a wonderful mom and woman. The poem is on a sweet happy note yet the last few words grab at the heart with sadness AND joy, joy from having her as your mom.

Hi Diane, This is simply a beautifully written nonet to honor your mother.
I'm sure this was a very emotive piece for you to write. Your words came through and touched my heart as well. I lost my mother in 2013 and since that time there have been many times when I've seen something that reminds me of mom and to this day, the emotion will flow out like an end-less river. Thank you for posting your wonderful poem and good luck in the contest.
All the best!
