I loved this one. A clear, well paced poem that has the reader searching to and fro for the prompting narrator. The artwork is perfect. Thanks for the whimsical read. Cheers.

Shhhhhhh, don?t tell anybody.... there's really nothing there.... :) :) For the contest, we had a choose a pic from FanArt and, as my eyes scanned through the treasure trove of offerings over there (soooooo many to see!!), this one just jumped out and I immediately found myself 'looking' for things in it? and a poem was born!! ;) :) Thanx for your awesome review and those lovely stars my friend - much appreciated! :) Yvette

"Welcome, Red Riding Hood!", is an extremely well-written and delightfully descriptive piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. I look forward to seeing your next post. This is definitely a six!

What a terrific cat and mouse ( hood and wolf) read, love the artwork and the humor in this excellent poem, the punch line makes me wonder who is trying to hide from who, very well presented and best wishes for your contest****kahpot

Hi Yvette,
Your poem is an outstanding read, and very funny throughout, although as good as this illustration is, I really wish you'd find one with Red wearing a hood hampering her peripheral vision, to get the laughs the terrific punchline deserves. (Because it would make it clear why the speaker is saying that stuff.)
:o)

That's a fun poem... I'm wondering if I should be looking for something in the picture of Carvers Woods! Is there a wolf at the door? Or is Red supposed to be going into THE LIGHT? ;) How's life LOTS? (Hey... didn't know you were LOTS did you Lady Of The South... LOL) I just might be able to get out of my house at long last... pray for me!!! LOL

Haha. I see the wolf's head. Such a clever poem, Yvette. Not only about the artwork but involving interaction with the artwork. Bringing it to life.
I do sincerely wish you the best in the contest.
Blessings Julia

What a scary looking path. I don't know if your writing was inspired by the artwork or if you found the artwork after, but the sinister mood of both meld perfectly.

Out of sixes, dear Yvette!
But!
Oh my goodness!
What a delightful offering in terms of format and form. Such fun!
I won't tell you how long I stared at the artwork; I'm too embarrassed to reveal! But I loved every morsel of your offering!
Best Wishes!

Oh, Yvette, you're pulling my leg. I don't have a hood on and I don't see any big, bad wolf! But you get top prize for creativity with this fun poem and asking us to interact with that picture! Best wishes in the contest!
