Hi sally this is a wonderful finale to the story. It makes you want that it could always be like that most of the time in real life.
I found a couple of things.
They couple also knew that in real life things don't always go according to plan. = The couple also knew that ...
which is killer, by the way,"= which is a killer, by the way."
Merry Christmas to you and yours. Ulla xxx

You are such a sentimental dear Sally, a romantic, and an unrepentant one my friend. Elaine and I are spending our Christmas time with dearest elder daughter, son in law, and dear grandsons for the first time since New York, 2010. Although they've been at our home with our younger daughter SIL and grands, (we miss them) but music everywhere, my daughter is a brilliant singer/musician, as is Nick, who is a pianist, and Zac, a budding singer, merry Christmas from Australia, blessings, Roy
Typo : The(y) couple also knew...

I love your opening quote!
"They couple also knew that in real life..." I think you meant 'the'.
" a grand reception catered by Taco Loco." How very appropriate for them.
A wonderful story.

Thank you so much for the outstanding review and generous stars. It means the world to me. I have repaired the dogs. Christmas Eve Eve is not a spag. See the Urban dictionary for the definition of the eve before Christmas Eve, also referred to as Christmas Eve Eve. It's a thing now. LOL! Sending you both my best with hugs and blessings for Christmas!!
Sally xoxo :) :)

I did acknowledge the Eve Eve was not a spag ok. I figured it out eventually.

Love this, Sally. It speaks to a true and abiding love. In fact, it reminds me of the love my wife, Lori, and I share. That way I know that the emotions written here can be and are true. I wonder how many miss out on this for so many other temporal things. God bless and thank you for sharing this celebration of love. Loren

Thank you, dear Loren. I'm so pleased you liked this. I am truly honored by your kind compliments and shower of stars. It's good to get so much positive feedback from the men on this one. We live in a cynical world were love like this is fading away. I just refused to let it fade away on my FS pages. More like this coming in 2020.
Sending you my best today as always, and blessings for the new year. Sal :))

Sally, you wrote a great story that is very real and expresses a clear picture of genuine love that is powerful. Thanks for sharing this in a creative way. it is so needed for families to pass on the example of genuine love to the next generation. Looks like you want to remove the first "my" in the sentence about love letters.

Dear Bill, I am amazed by the response from the men with these love letter stories. The happily married ones are the best! My husband cried when he read this final chapter, more than once.
Your review means so much and I am truly honored by your kind words and six stars. Thank you, again.
Sending you my best today as always, and best wishes for the new year,

What a wonderful ending to such a beautifully romantic story. You even handled the sadness so well. A truly remarkable piece of work. The picture touches it off so well. I am sorry it ended, but I did enjoy the ride.
