This episode leaves us with more questions than answers, even if you have managed to spring Charles from solitary confinement. If this was an advert for the 'Don't Holiday in Pakistan Club' then you can rest assured, It has achieved its aim, I shan't be going there. The period in prison I thought was well handled, just enough for us to feel its awfulness, and not enough to get tedious, as it must have been for anyone incarcerated under those conditions.

Thanks, Jim. I appreciate your comments about the balance. This was a difficult chapter to write.

This was another intense episode. It seems as if he was saved at the eleventh hour, but better late than never. I was hoping for a bit more on Helen at this point, but I sense you are building up to that as it may prove to be surprisingly different from what we expect. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

Thanks, Monica. Yes, there will be more about Helen soon. Quite a bit seems to have been going on while Charles was in prison.

Bisto is about the last one I would have expected to come to the rescue. The pacing is good as is the description of Charles' cell and incarceration.
I picked up very little in this chapter:
The guard pushed a heavy door open - I might have said 'pushed open a heavy door' but it's just personal preference.
wearing neatly starched Khaki Drill - did you mean to capitalise 'khaki drill'?
Have a great week

Thanks, Judy. Khaki Drill (KD) is usually capitalised when it refers to British military uniform. However, you're right, it shouldn't be in this context.

Thank God they managed to release poor Charles from that horrible place. Hopefully, Helen is ok, and soon, they will go back to the assigned mission. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the next chapter.

Well done, very vivid as is your style. Nearly making us believe you were actually in that prison yourself! Love what Helen did to Habib's nether regions. No spags! And look what I still have and the fact I am still on Premier. Did someone pay for me to stay or what? Maybe I got the fall-off date wrong?

Yay, poor Charles is free. But I'm still feeling it's all a dream since he's been hallucinating. It seems almost impossible that Bisto got word and he and Kayla would be there. But that was quite the revenge that Helen got!

Thanks, Helen. I appreciate your comments and the extra star. There have been several weeks between the start of Charles's imprisonment and the arrival of Bisto and Kayla. Much has happened behind the scenes, as will soon become clear. All good wishes, Tony
