I have been mesmerized while watching the hummingbird and totally relate to your succinct message. They seem to be playing a part as they dash on stage for a quick bow and feast. Very enigmatic creature, wouldn't you say? Your chosen art is apt.

Cute - "fast food" - that's for sure - their wings beat so fast, one cannot see them - and seldom do they stay long enough even to burp. I think.
But I love to see them flit by.

Certainly, they do grab their food on the FLY, don't they? I wonder if they are ever, ever, ever still. I have never seen any other form for these critters than full flight. Crazy. Thanks and good luck!

your picture of a humming bird and your haiku written in
5/9/2, which is 16 syllables.
Is good I know about how those little jewels, I have watched six of those hungry jewels need to act fast when they have a chance to feast.

Wonderful! For their fast food, the hummingbirds come fast flying and instantly they grab a sip of nectar and fly freely; birds in action; well said, well done.

This really made me laugh. With all our hungry humming birds it seems like I spend just as much time making nectar for them as I do making dinner for my husband and me. Never thought of sugar water being Big Macs for the birds! Love the punchline.

That is a great punch line - it really makes the Haiku and I'm sure it was intended that way. I also love the picture you chose to complement this piece. The whole poem was well written.
