Thank you so very much, Sally. I was online reading Russian poets yesterday (Pushkin is becoming a favorite) and read this one by him. It was so good I wanted to share, but my own verse was a response from me that I wanted it to be a waiting thing... not hopeless.... hence, the verse..

This one is poignant, Melissa. It is classically beautiful. You raise the question of course, what are you waiting for. My daughter met a boy on a long cruise once during her freshman year of college. He was from Canada; she from Alabama. He virtually said those words to her. He did not want to burden her with a long distance romance. Personally, I think he will love her forever. Still waiting.
