A very well-written poem about the poet tree. When we have no inspiration to write about, we can just go to our poet tree open our ears and eyes and we will soon be inspired.

Hi Vance! I'm loving this poem, The Poet Tree! I love the word choices, the wind setting her free, her voice being her branches and leaves... very nice. I do have one suggestion... I think you mistyped a line about half-way through. The long one that ends in 'crickets'... I'm pretty sure you meant it to read like this:
She gathers her beloved birds and bees
As the crickets and flies bow down on their knees
Just a return in the wrong place. Nothing major. A very nice poem, and the picture is great! :)
